Faded splendour - not good value
Pros:

Beautiful building in amazing location by the sea. Very traditional.

Cons:

Completely dead - I think that we were the ony guests. No facility for having tea or coffee in the room (at this price more comforts are to be expected) no bar snacks in room. We took tea in the restaurant and were charged €10 despite being guests. There was no bath in the room although that was pictured when I made the choice through booking.com . He room was cold during the day and too hot at night - we had to request to have the heating turned on in the afternoon - this was on a master timer despite there being controls in the room - and the air-conditioning did not work at night when we needed it.
We ate in the restaurant (we were encouraged to do this by the staff) but the food was very mediocre and felt as f it had been warmed up from the freezer. It was the most expensive meal of our trip and by far the worst.
