This was an amazing resort ! Great service, wonderful restaurants and shops. The sauna, spa and pool alone were worth the high rating ! They had so many activities available and tours. A bonus was a doctor on site 24/7 for travel emergencies. Would highly recommend.

Pros:

Nice hotel, however, my room was on the 7th floor and had a very loud noise from what I believe are the AC units. Unfortunately it was too late at night to change. Great breakfast, good spa, a bit outdated design but we'll kept.

Real 5 star hotel
Pros:

We stayed only a night, and absolutely excited.
Prices are high in restaurant, don't worth food's quality. But, the welcoming, room service, facilities, etc. were in high level. In a word we had a fantastic night in Marxal Resort and Spa.
Except a few negligible things the hotel deserves 5 star.

So this property is slightly outside of Sheki in a stunning location. The old town is a short taxi ride away. The travel desk was very helpful in organising transfers from the border to the hotel. The food in the "National Restaurant" was very nice. We organised a transfer back to Baku again through the travel desk but our driver was a complete lunatic so the journey was alarming. My top tip is to ask for a safe and steady driver!

One star hotel

It was bad. I did not expect this type of services from 5 stars hotel.

Front desk were not helpful and corporate

Late check in (our villa and room were not ready even we arrived after check in time)

Music is very loudly early morning and till 11 pm night. Hip hop and disco type. I contacted reception more than 5 times they did not help. I had to get out my bed and get down to ask the hotel bar to switch it off.

Goulf cart for transportation from villa were not well served. You have to contact them more than one time to get the cart and it will arrive late (up to 30 mints)

Restaurant area was small and very croweded and workers were not profissional.
