We had 3 nights at Hotel Katerina, the breakfasts were excellent and the staff very helpful throughout

Pros:

Lo que más me gustó fueron las tres jóvenes que ayudan en el desayuno, atentas a lo que necesites y muy agradables. La habitación limpia y cómoda. Se agradecía que pusieran unas horas la calefacción, porque por la tarde noche baja mucho la temperatura. El único inconveniente que vi fue el acceso a los enchufes eléctricos. Lo recomiendo.

Pros:

Petit dej typique et très varié. Endroit très « romantique » et la propreté

Cons:

Le service professionnel mais sans la chaleur attendue (sauf pour le service dans le jardin, nickel et aux petits soins).
Et la salle de bains un peu étroite

Personel gayet ilgili, kahvaltıda yeterli ve güzel, ancak odada buzdolabının olmaması eksiklik. Yine her gün temizlik yapılması gerektiğini düşünüyorum. Onun dışında konumu çok güzel.

Pros:

It is a unique style of hotel in Turkey, and the style is pulled through the entire hotel. Good bed, sofa and bathroom. Room was comfortable and clean. It is located with a litle path next to the river that leads directly to the tourist center of Kars. Parking is part of the hotel. Taxi to the airport is less than €10.

Cons:

The main issue is not the hotel's own fault, but the river smells foul. We kept the window closed during the night because of it.

Otel ilk başta şehir merkezine uzak gibi gözüküyor ama merkezi. Çalışanlarlar güler yüzlü. Özellikle Melisa Hanıma teşekkür ederiz bizi her seferinde sabırla dinledi anlattı ve tarif etti.😊

Pros:

Beautiful hotel in an old Russian palace. My room at the back was very quiet. The internet is slow (and the roads are very bad) but you cannot blame the hotel for that.

Eccentric and somewhat charming but totally inefficient admin
Pros:

The hotel was charmingly excentric and very turn of the century Russian - the furniture was elaborate and painted gold

Cons:

When I arrived in the evening they had no record of my booking and were trying to charge me again. Its a little remote being set behind the castle/fortress and with no where to walk to

Pros:

The building was beautiful with flamboyant decor. Slightly quirky which we love! The staff were so helpful and friendly. The location just under the castle was absolutely amazing! Close enough to walk into town. The breakfast was really tasty with an amazing selection - lots of traditional Turkish food to choose from. Toiletries were provided. Such a lovely place to sit outside by the river and have a drink. In the evening there was a brazier and some musicians playing traditional music. Just beautiful!

Cons:

The WiFi wasn't great.
