Pleasant stay in an historic property.
Pros:

Lovely lobby and breakfast room. Great location. Good coffee.

Cons:

I was happy to get a complimentary breakfast, but it was underwhelming. Please lose the powdered eggs!

Pros:

Wonderful hotel with a wonderful staff. The breakfast was amazing and the restaurant was really good. You can even use the pool, jacuzzi and sauna in their lodges down the street, making this a splendid stay in a super authentic city.

Cons:

The bed was pretty squeeky, I would recommend earbuds.

The stay was very comfortable and I’m looking forward to staying there again as opportunity presents itself.
Pros:

The Penn Wells is a smartly appointed historic hotel. The history, interior, and ambiance make it a pleasure to experience. The staff are incredibly helpful without being pushy. The included breakfast is delicious with something for all tastes. The hotel is in the heart of Wellsboro with everything in walking distance.

Cons:

The parking is a little tight but with that said, I found a spot every night for my crew cab pickup truck.

Comfortable, relaxing.
Pros:

The service ( Tom the manager) was outstanding. He should be the model for Hotel customer service for all hotels! The hotel location was perfect. We loved the historic feel of the property as well.

Cons:

We understand the hotel was a historic property and didn't expect modern conveniences, so with that being said there wasn't anything we didn't like.

Pros:

Excellent Historic Hotel
Pros:

Hotel is very comfortable, has an excellent dining room and pub with outdoor patio. Rooms are comfortable, staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Hotel has excellent free parking and is close to Wellsboro’s interesting shops and restaurants.

Sehr urig, entsprechender Flair. Hotel über 100 Jahre alt und vieles so erhalten.
Frühstück war gut, wie in vielen anderen amerikanischen Hotels auch.

Cons:

Für zwei Personen ein zu kleines Bett, außerdem sehr durchgelegen. Zimmer sehr klein, kaum Platz für Gepäck.

Back again, and again,…,.,,,, And of course AGAIN!
Pros:

The Penn Wells Hotel has become our base camp for travel to the Wellsboro Pennsylvania area for many years. Old time royalty and a turn-of-the-century hotel.

Last end of July will be a great memory with friends who are world travelers, but never to Northern PA. Off to the Tyoga Golf golf course a round of golf with beautiful weather in country course nostalgia.

Dinner in town at the hotel or pick any restaurant. They’re all great then off to the Grand Canyon for spectacular views of the region. We chose Colton point this time, but will stop at Harrison side next time. See you for Dickens Christmas weekend in December.

Charming says it all
Pros:

Stepping into this hotel feels like stepping back in time. The historic building has incredible charm and personality that newer hotels simply can't replicate. Yes, some features show their age, but that only adds to its character. Guests who value modern gadgets and contemporary design may prefer something newer, but anyone who appreciates history and a one-of-a-kind experience will likely fall in love with this place.

Excellent experience!
Pros:

Penn Wells hotel is a beautiful historic place! The staff was very friendly and helpful especially Dave the 3 to 11 front desk person! He went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable! I would definitely recommend Penn Wells hotel to anyone planning to stay in Wellsboro! We are planning to stay there again in the future!

It is a friendly and nice small town.
Pros:

The location was perfect everything in walking distance restaurants, stores, Wellsboro Diner, and the movie theater was next door. The Grand Canyon was a drive but it was worth it. The breakfast was good and they had enough to eat.

Cons:

The bathrooms have bathtubs and there are no hand rails to hold onto when getting out they should consider installing rails or showers stalls.

Worth a stay in the center of a beautiful town in a historic building.
Pros:

Historic hotel, while a bit tattered still houses the beauty of its past. Location could not be better. Good dining options.

Cons:

Air conditioner was extremely loud. Pillows hard.
