The room we were given was a disabled room which was not what we had asked for we would not of stayed there if we hadn’t already paid you, would have definitely walked out. It was a wet room with a large mop in the corner to presumably mop room after shower, the hand basin was extremely small, there were no blinds at the windows in that room it did have obscure glass. The bedroom had a velux window with no blind so daylight shone into room.
When we arrived an elderly man was on reception who obviously didn’t want to be there.

The Staff were very polite and cheerful, making us feel welcome. The room was airy and comfortable. The bathroom was large and well equipped. We had a very good sleep. In the morning breakfast was Superb. Everything was hot and delicious, and to top it off, our waitress was constantly smiling.
My only gripe was that our room was supposed to be wheelchair friendly, however I didn't see any evidence of a lift or a ramp art the entrance. Also there were only 2 13Amp outlets in the room.

Beautiful old house in a good location. Room was clean & well presented.
Bed was very old and uncomfy. There was a notice in the bathroom sink saying not drinking water and they provided 1 small bottle of water between 2 people. Breakfast terrible.
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good.
No restaurant for evening meal.
The additional bed provided was a very low uncomfortable camp bed.

Was not aware that I had to pay an extra £25 for the two childrens beds in the room. Was still worth the money, but would have been better if it was added to the initial booking.
Really enjoyed staying at this grand hotel with its beautiful gardens and excellent decor. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast as well. We were sorry to leave.
