There was nothing not to like. Everything was spot on.
From arrival our hosts were very welcoming. They were always asking if there was anything we needed to make our stay more comfortable. The location was ideal for points of interest. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed, including a fan which was most appreciated. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent and great value for money . Had a comfortable stay and would have stayed longer if we had more days holiday available. We can highly recommend and hope to stay again .

Wonderful staff. Great evening meal and breakfast. Really enjoyed quiz night which happens on the last Friday of every month. Great atmosphere. Although just on the side of the A1 we slept remarkably well.

Very disappointed as to the Holy Island & Bamburgh Castle view. Our attached photo is still zoomed in.
Room very small. Beds not comfortable. Mattress protector has a yellow stain right across it.
Traffic noise, was a few steps off the main road. Thought it was further back away from the road.
Shower cubicle, glass screen was unstable & came off the runner as you opened/shut it. Not acceptable.
Bathroom sink area, very tight. Bathroom very small in general.
Was waiting for the breakfast restaurant to open as really wanted to get on the road. Bit late for us, didn't realise.
Breakfast order taken & served promptly, cooked well/hot but very basic. Only enough tea for 1 cup, didn't get to ask for more as in a rush and the 1 server was very busy attending other folk.
I appreciated the small and hard working staff who made sure we had a nice breakfast before departing, even meatless options were offered.
The location was easy to find, right off the main road (A1).
If it wasn’t so hot I think the issue of noise wouldn’t have been so apparent but with the windows open to let in the cool air, you heard every car/truck and a work crew who decided to start cutting grass at 2245.

In a good location to reach Berwick upon Tweed and The Holy Island. The house was very quiet even though it was very close to the A!. Breakfast was excellent, freshly made and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
It was perfectly placed for our onward journey home to Yorkshire, after a weeks holiday to Scotland. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, and the room was more than adequate. Breakfast was particularly good ,with a good choice.

Self check in and to find out that there would be no food on offer and the bar closed that evening.
Very handy for travelling to the places that we wanted to visit. Despite being very close to the A1, the traffic noise wasn’t an issue.

Zeer behulpzame en vriendelijke mensen, prima bedden, lekker ontbijt, ligt op niet al te grote afstand van bezienswaardigheden en voldoende ruimte en parkeergelegenheid.
We misten een klein plankje bij de wastafel.
