Beautiful hotel! Pool area is amazing.
the facilities and the staff
nothing
I really wanted to like this hotel, but the experience never came close to justifying the premium price.
The rooms are exceptionally small, and the Murphy beds leave very little usable space once they're down. You're paying boutique hotel rates for accommodations that feel cramped and impractical.
The lack of soundproofing is another major issue. The walls are so thin that neighboring guests' conversations—and even flushing toilets—are clearly audible. Despite quiet hours being posted throughout the property, they do not appear to be consistently enforced.
The pool experience was equally disappointing. Signage states the pool is open until 6:00 PM, yet poolside service effectively ends around 3:30 PM when the kitchen begins shutting down. Staff start collecting towels and closing umbrellas well before the posted closing time, creating the impression that guests are expected to leave. To make matters more confusing, staff informed us that the pool closes at 5:00 PM despite signage indicating otherwise.
Guests are also limited to a small selection of pre-made cocktails and cannot order drinks from the hotel bar while at the pool. Once poolside service ends, there is effectively a two-hour gap during which obtaining a drink becomes unnecessarily difficult, as the hotel bar does not open until 5:00 PM and often is not ready to serve guests until 5:30 PM or later. It was also surprising to see all poolside drinkware restricted to acrylic plastic while servers freely delivered glass bottles of Saratoga water and wine to the pools edge.
The service culture throughout the property was perhaps the biggest disappointment. Rather than feeling welcomed, it often felt as though guests were an inconvenience. I rarely encountered so many staff members actively avoiding eye contact instead of acknowledging waiting customers. Even after the bar officially opens, guests can be left waiting 30 to 45 minutes while staff continue setup and preparation, making it clear that operational tasks take priority over the guest experience.
Ultimately, the pricing suggests a luxury boutique hotel experience, but the room quality, noise levels, inconsistent policies, and lackluster service simply do not justify the cost. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel to friends or family, nor would I choose to stay here again.
Very classy and hip place to stay. Great lounge/bar and restaurant . Excellent location to walk around Asbury Park
I attended a wedding St Laurent including an overnight stay. The property is beautiful. Rooms were clean spacious and comfortable. The bar and restaurant we're perfect and I cannot say enough about the staff. We will be returning here in the future.
Good place. Definitely coming back.
What a quaint sophisticated Boutique Hotel...the restaurant is phenomenal. The bar area super cute and the pool makes you feel like you are in Hamptons beach party. The pool staff isn't very friendly they had the look on their face like why are you talking to me which is unfortunate. The amount I paid to stay in NJ i was hoping and expecting more. Unfortunately they are kids and as most can attest too they just dont really care.
great hotel with beautiful pool area. food and drinks was great. only thing I would change is the bed.
we had a very enjoyable and pleasant experience. The staff was very accommodating in the service was exceptional.
I left my shirt in the rooms closet went back for it an hour later and it was not found
It’s a cute place. Comfy beds. Pool closes too early. No ice machines. No in room coffee. Front desk closes early and then there is no staff person around at all. Not sure I understood the self service concept. But let’s have the pool and bar open.
Worth the money the rooms and pool were so nice! Didn’t eat at the restaurant or spend time at the bar because it was a short treat but loved hanging by the pool on the check in day. Staff was very kind and accommodating too!
Cool, hip hotel. Food is excellent. Service is fast. Rooms clean. Takes a bit of pushing to get a good seat by the pool (members get priority over hotel guests).
I’ve visited before just to use the pool for the day but this time I stayed overnight for a mini getaway. Check in and check out were seamless. It was difficult finding parking but later in the day when the pool closed I was able to move my car right in front. Pool was great, service was quick, food served was delicious however besides wine and beer there were only 3 choices for cocktail. I would have preferred more choices than an aperol spritz, margarita or lemonade. The room was clean and decor was simple and modern, bed was super comfortable, bathroom was Small but loved the shower. Judy’s restaurant food and service were a 10. Lounge was great for after dinner drinks and relaxing. I do wish there was a changing room for transitioning after the pool closes. There is no breakfast. I really thinks it’s important to offer a little something like a continental breakfast; something simple like bananas, muffins, croissant, danish would suffice but not to offer anything at all was disappointing; especially since the pool doesn’t open for food service til 11am and we didnt want to risk going out and losing our parking spot. Overall it was an excellent stay and I will certainly be back in the future.
