Fabuleuse expérience dans cet hôtel qui est une ancienne maison coloniale. Nous avons été surclasséS dans une suite extraordinaire ! C'est la plus belle chambre et le petit déjeuner les plus extraordinaires de nos 6 semaines passées en Équateur. Nous recommandons vivement et chaleureusement cet hôtel avec un personnel véritablement aux petits soins, qu'ils soient à l'accueil ou au petit déjeuner. Le petit déjeuner se prend dans un charmant patio et si le temps le permet, dans le jardin, un cadre magnifique. L'emplacement est excellent et le parking gratuit est très sécurisé pour les voitures. Le service de laverie est parfait. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cet hôtel vraiment exceptionnel.

You will be treated like family in a lovely boutique hotel.
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent - local foods and plentiful. There is a lovely garden in the back where you can eat and relax. There are also several areas inside the hotel with comfortable furnishings for relaxing. Except for the rooms facing the street, the rest face the inside courtyard which is well-insulated from noise and weather (glass roof). But most of all the staff was so kind and helpful. The manager, Wilmer, took a real interest in my comfort and experience, making sure I had recommendations on where to eat and what to do. He answered several special requests with great kindness. The staff too worked hard to make my stay exceptional. I felt like family. I was even sent off by Wilmer and 3 staff members as I got into the taxi to go to the airport!.

Cons:

Honestly, there is little I can say for improvement. I would have liked a comfortable chair in the room (there was a desk and desk chair), but the room was too small for that. The public spaces with comfortable furniture made up for that.

Außergewöhnliches Hostel
Pros:

Alles…extrem schön …sowohl Zimmer als auch das gesamte Haus. Wirklich außergewöhnliches Frühstück- eher ein Brunch - das uns aufgrund früher Abreise auch bereits um 5:30 serviert wurde. Das gesamte Team war jederzeit sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

De muren zijn niet geluidsarm dus wij hadden 2 nachten pech met vuren die in midden van nacht een douche nemen. Gelukkig kwam personeel ter hulp

My new favourite place to stay in Cuenca.
Pros:

Superb breakfast overlooking a garden courtyard. Best Tigrillo (fluffy plantain with cheese). Friendly staff. The manager invited me to accompany him to the market as he shopped for fresh fruits and vegetables.
It's on quiet street a five minute walk to Parque Central. Terrific view of old city from the roof terrace.

Cons:

The bedroom curtains could have blocked out a little more light. The coffee was good but not excellent. Now I'm really struggling to find anything wrong.

Exceptionnel ! Hôtel idéalement situé à Cuenca. Le personnel a été aux petits soins pour nous. La chambre était très confortable et au calme. Le petit déjeuner est de loin le meilleur que nous ayons eu pendant notre voyage d'un mois en Équateur. Qualité des produits, qualité de la présentation, nous avons adoré. Et puis, après nous être absentés deux jours, nous sommes revenus au Montalvo et nous avons eu la surprise de constater qu'une suite coloniale nous avait été réservée pour le même prix. Inutile de dire que si nous revenons à Cuenca, c'est à l'hôtel Boutique Montalvo que nous reviendrons...
