Hôtel Restaurant & Spa LE VAL MORET

Excellent as usual

Great hotel, very accessible just off A5, lovely Spa, fabulous food.

We (retired Brit couple) have stayed at Val Moret many times over 20 years or so. Dinner at the restaurant is always a highlight and the most recently acquired chef has increased the already delicious standards.
Rooms are clean and comfortable, all one needs for a night’s journey stopover. (I suspect few people book a week’s holiday here but a few nights would be entirely reasonable).
During 2025 there are building works progressing toward enlargement of the restaurant and reception. The work isn’t at all disruptive or intrusive, particularly for rooms further away. If the end result enhances the bar area that will be a great improvement, as the existing bar facilities are about the only thing that let the place down currently.
We haven’t used the spa but it looks good.
Finally, credit must be given to famille Marisy (and particularly to Mme, who apparently never sleeps) who work tirelessly for the comfort of their guests. It’s really good to see a family business thriving in this ever increasingly conglomerate dominated industry.

Lovely one night stop over ! Very friendly and helpful staff in every way. We had a premium room with balcony. Very spacious room and balcony. Car parking right out side the room.

Just a stopover but we would love to return. Fool is excellent and the room clean and comfortable. Excellent access to autoroute.

Great food as ever. Room was a little cold when we arrived but warmed up afterwards when we put on the bathroom heater. It was 1.5 degrees outside.

This hotel is very well located, just off the motorway for those driving through France, but set amongst fields so very quiet and safe. The rooms are very clean, there is lots of parking and although I could not have dinner there as we arrived too late, I have heard from family that the food is great. I can vouch for the tasty breakfast however. Will definitely visit again !

The Spa massage was highly relaxing after a day of driving.

The room was spotless with double doors opening onto the front lawn with a narrow patio where we enjoyed a breakfast coffee.

The car parking was plentiful. Although the hotel is in the countryside CCTV surveillance would be good to have if only to make guests feel secure.

Le Val Moret is in an ideal location for a stopover and it was convenient to be able to park our car adjacent to the bedroom block. The room was comfortable, functional and, importantly, very clean. The cuisine at the hotel was excellent and we enjoyed a high quality dinner and a good breakfast to send us on our way.
