As a seasoned traveler who regularly stays in 4- and 5-star hotels around the world, I rarely feel compelled to write a negative review. Unfortunately, my recent stay at this hotel did not meet the standards one would expect from a five-star property.

We arrived at approximately 8:00 a.m. after a long journey and were informed that the hotel was fully booked. Exhausted, we decided to have breakfast in the restaurant while waiting. After only about 30 minutes, the restaurant manager approached us and asked us to leave the table because the hotel was full and other guests needed seating. This was both surprising and disappointing. There were several free tables available at the time, and 30 minutes is certainly not an excessive amount of time to spend having breakfast in a five-star hotel. The interaction felt unnecessary and lacked the courtesy and hospitality one would expect at this level.

On a positive note, the reception staff was helpful and professional. They managed to prepare a room for us by around 10:00 a.m., which we greatly appreciated—especially since my husband had a business meeting at 11:00 a.m. Their effort and understanding made a meaningful difference after a difficult start to our stay.

Unfortunately, the challenges did not end there. We were unable to sleep properly due to significant street noise. Each night, the sound of cars racing outside made it feel as though a scene from “Fast & Furious” was being filmed directly near the hotel. For a five-star property, better soundproofing would be expected to ensure guests’ comfort and rest.

In terms of facilities, the swimming pool was very well-maintained and pleasant to use. The spa was also excellent, providing a relaxing experience.

The hotel’s location is very good and convenient, which is one of its strongest assets. However, an exceptional location alone cannot compensate for service lapses and lack of comfort.
