The Paramount Inn

This was my terrible experience while I was staying with family. I was paying approximately INR 5000 per night. The day I entered it was a bad impression.They don't provide any toiletries, Towels were wet(they said all towels are wet), room are dirty, bed linens are dirty, bed side table lights were broken. On 2nd day I had upgraded to SUPER DELUXE from DELUXE, without toiletries brocken light, floor dirty with open nails. Now I faced new challenges, sudden power off and sometimes no water in toilets. People behaved rudely when I asked to fix the problem. Although view was good from this super deluxe room. I have not had option to move other hotel because all other good hotels are fully booked. During checkout, I had to pay cash, because card machine is not working.

I am surprised to book this property for 5 night stay through Expedia. This is my first experience with Expedia.

Booked through Expedia but could have got it cheaper on phone! Hotel is nice, with its own parking, a rarity in Manali. The best thing is that it is located at the very start of the Mall, you can just walk down 300 yards and there you are. Hotel breakfast is really good. The GM, Mr Dharam is very warm and caring, kept wishing us morning and evening and asking about our comfort. Cleanliness in the rooms and toilets is an issue, had to tell Mr Dharam to get it done. Not much facility in the hotel, but then, you are in Manali to roam around, not stay in the hotel except at night. Mr Dharam also arranges for taxi to go sight seeing. Hotel does not accept credit cards or PayTm, so carry cash with you. Lots of ATMs in Mall Road. About 95% shops accept only cash. For avoiding the traffic jam in Manali, for its location near the Mall, for its car parking and above all, for the caring attitude of the GM, Mr Dharam, and for the helpful attitude of the staff, do stay at this hotel. Convenience is its middle name.
