We had a beach front walk out room. The view was priceless. We could lay in bed and see the Gulf! They provided chairs for the "patio" in front of our room. We enjoyed sitting and taking in the sights, sounds, and smells. Having access straight to the beach was the cherry on top. We love walking the beach at night and it felt more intimate when not having to go through hallways and a lobby. The pool area was beautiful, and had a great view of the Gulf. Giant chess and checkers sets were in a lounge area that also overlooked the Gulf. Couches and chairs were sprawled and inviting. We went in the off season, so it may be different during peak times - we were at the bottom level and there was a peacefulness in the isolation of being right on the beach with the hotel behind you and hardly anybody in front of you - just sand and water.
The hotel was fully booked during our stay and did not have enough parking spots and the parking lot in general was a nightmare. The staff at the reception desk were off-standish, and didn't smile or introduce themselves when giving a half-hearted welcome. There is no elevator, the only stairs provided are outdoor stairs, which are spaced far apart and difficult to navigate, even more so with luggage. Due to the location cell and data service is spotty. The wifi was horrid - virtually non-existent.
Pros:
Location
Price (less than $500 for a 7-night stay in February)
Comfortable beds
Easy check-in/check-out
Fast, reliable wifi
Easy parking
Cons:
Indifferent staff (Office staff wasn’t rude, they just seemed liked they really didn’t want to be there. No smiles, no “Welcome to the Chateau”, no “How did you enjoy your stay?” None of that. But, whenever I did request shampoo, towels, whatever, I did get it from housekeeping fairly quickly.
Water pressure in the shower could’ve been better. Water came out with not much force. But water temp was great, & would stay hot as long as you needed it to.
Like with many hotels, you have to expect every now and then to hear your upstairs neighbors as they drag chairs around their floor or close drawers over and over again. I didn’t get much of that during my weeklong stay, but i did get just a bit when the hotel got busier.
Ocean front..location
Could be a little cleaner
This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever been in. After being given another room that was still gross, we checked out almost immediately . We didn’t even stay one night. We also requested a refund and are continuing to get denials for that as well.
It was filthy. Dead roaches on the floor, stool stains on the toilet, hair all over the bathroom walls/tub, hairs all in the bed, stained bedsheets that were turned inside out, disgusting towels, base boards ripped off the wall, broken toilet paper holder sitting on the back of the toilet with screws, and it smelled like someone had been smoking in there for 20 years.
We didn’t like anything about this place!!!
We checked in went to our room the room hadn’t been cleaned. There was poop in the toilet we immediately went and canceled and got our $$ back. This place needs to be closed and torn down or remodeled and get cleaners that know how to clean!!!
Near the beach
Nothing
I like that it was right on the beach. That’s always convenient.
I didn’t like that the shower leaked, I seen water spots all over the ceiling. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest & I killed 2 roaches in the room.
Pool and beach access
Could be clearer and have hair dryer and ice
Très bien vue sur la mer et la piscine
Personnel très agréable et efficace
Il n’y rien à dire de négatif

Some of the employees were a bit sketchy. Attempting to open the hotel room door even after I refused services
