Good location! Rooms are very clean but definitely not recommended if you’re a light sleeper

I really like the ancient theme of the hotel!

Cons:

Rooms are not sound proof so we could hear what was happening next door and the sound of the trains at night

Charming but major drawbacks if you are looking for a good night's sleep
Pros:

Lovely historic property, lovingly cared for! Radiators in the rooms, transom windows above the doors, high ceilings, and a vintage elevator that's a hoot! The place has a hipster, eclectic vibe and is right in the middle of town, within walking distance of pretty much everything.

Cons:

Street parking only - arriving on a busy night, the only spot we could find was a block away, and we had to get up early the next morning to pay for parking so we wouldn't get towed. Historic windows are charming, but did little/nothing to filter noise from street (drunk people leaving bars) or railroad just a block away. (The trains don't honk, but boy do the breaks squeal!) Lack of blackout curtains made it hard to sleep past dawn. Only flat space suitable for setting up laptop was occupied by an unnecessary cash minibar. No drawers, no usable closet, and not enough plugs, so bring a power strip and plan on leaving your clothes in your luggage.

Quirky hotel in a downtown location
Pros:

Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. A few stairs to maneuver with suitcases and bathroom was so tiny that it was difficult for a person with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Sponge material inserted all around window was loose and did little to hide noise. Although ear plugs were provided. An amenities fee of $7 was charged but what amenities were provide?
