Gorgeous view of the sound from our balcony. Easy waking distance [10 min ] to Port Townsend's many beautiful colorful shops and restaurants.
Needed outside paint.
The view.
No cleaning service.
Hardly a “suite.”
Loved the balcony and location
Room overlooked main road and motel is physically close to the main road. Very noisy.
on the water with our little balcony Bed very comfortable
handle in the shower
I'd give our stay at the hotel a 2 out of 5. There were just too many little things that added up to make it a mediocre stay at best.
Even though check-in is at 4:00 pm, we were told our room still needed to be cleaned and we had to wait. Why if check-out is at 11:00 am is the room still not ready by 4:00 pm?
The room wasn't even fully cleaned. There was someone's leftover food still in the mini fridge.
Also, while my husband was checking us in, the front desk woman told my husband he was from her favorite country after seeing his ID. She thought he was Indian. He corrected her and said he was from Laos. I wonder if she would have said something like that to a white person checking-in? I don't think she would.
The sliding door to the bathroom kept getting stuck and wouldn't fully open or close. It was quite frustrating to have to lift the entire door and try to get it back on the track so it could close properly when you needed to use the restroom.
The wifi was atrocious. It was slow and would keep disconnecting. Anything played on the phone would buffer forever until it was using 5G.
Overall, it was not a good experience. We will not be going back to that hotel again. We visit Port Townsend regularly but we will be skipping the unfortunate experience we had this time.
Horrible experience- arrived at 5pm after a long day of travel and myself, husband and 6ft 16 year old son all went to reception to check in. After waiting for 10 mins for staff member to come out of back office we were checked in by the rudest front desk person- no pleasantries at all no please or thank yous or even am attempt at a smile. Arrived at room to find one king size bed (6ft teenager was with us at reception and no mention of only 1 bed) when went back to reception was told they had overbooked and didn’t have the deluxe double room with 2 beds that had been booked 8 months before. Was told nothing that could be done and that was only room available front desk person couldn’t care less. Ended up travelling 45 mins further to sequim to find a hotel as no other hotels available locally with 2 beds and will be requesting refund via complaint or credit card. Disgusted and would NOT recommend
Beautiful location
We stayed in the original building rooms. They were a bit run down I told the manager about a safety concern regarding hand rail at the top of the second floor
Great location - easy walk to the old town and cafes/bars etc, quite quiet, lovely views from the deck (although the deck area needs a paint) as right on the water, comfy bed!
The outside deck area definitely needs some TLC - needs a good paint. Great views from it shame it is in such a poor condition.
Room size, cleanliness, location, balcony
NA
We loved the peaceful area and atmosphere. The room was large, beautiful, clean, and spacious. It had everything needed and more. The deco was very pretty, super comfortable bed and fluffy towels. The bathroom and shower was big and the water hot. Loved the jacuzzi tub and fireplace. Also, the view was so lovely from the room and the balcony.
No complaints on anything.
Nice shower
Room too close to road. Noisey all night. TV didn't work properly.
Nice location on the waterfront. Comfortable bed. Clean room. I like that there’s no carpet.
Small bathroom without a fan. No air conditioning. Patio looked very worn-needs sprucing up. Hotel price quite high for what it is and no breakfast offered.
Walking distance to town. Comfortable beds.
Cleanliness and location
Staff demeanor and no breakfast offered
Tides made good effort in remodeling the inside of our room. The immenities effort was good. Wonder if interiors of other rooms were remodeled.
Our room was a unique King suite, somewhat tight, chopped up a bit, chlosterphobic.
Bathroom located around a tight corner up a couple steps, tight. No continental breakfast as expected.
The Evening counter person was excellent and welcoming. Sadly the day clerk was a bit overwhelmed.
The Exterior needs upkeep.
My mother and I had a fantastic stay at the Tides Inn & Suites. They were friendly and accommodating when we arrived 2 hours prior to check-in, finishing cleaning our room quickly and allowing us to check-in early and change for an event we were attending. Our first-floor room was big, clean, and modern with comfortable beds. The best part was our little balcony looking out on the water. Made for a peaceful evening and morning with our coffee!
View, elevator, extra space with table and chairs at the bay window, balcony, watching the moon rise over the sound from bed, walking distance to ferry and down town. We watched a sea otter, Goliath heron and deer daily from our room. Even caught a few sunrises from the bay window.
No continental breakfast
Location was good, room was good and clean, bed was comfy, view was good,
Upon arrival a bike rental company was unloading and blocking the entire driveway. Then they parked the bikes on the sidewalk blocking the sidewalk, the desk clerk was very rude and acted like she didn't want to be there, she never did answer our questions, th e maintenance man was great.very friendly when a brought us a working coffee maker. The grounds are not maintained, there was only one chair in the room with the table, the deck was dirty and needed painted, upon checking out a different clerk was also rude.i believe the rooms are over priced
