Our stay at the Conrad Osaka was truly a five-star experience and, without question, the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in!
With my Amex benefits, we were fortunate to receive a complimentary upgrade to an Executive Suite, which included access to the Executive Lounge. This was a wonderful surprise that made our stay even more special. Every single staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. The level of hospitality was exceptional from check-in to check-out.
The daily breakfast was outstanding, with an impressive selection of both Japanese and American dishes, fresh fruit and juices, and some of the best pastries and breads we’ve had. It was truly the perfect way to start each day!
While we didn’t have the opportunity to dine at the hotel’s restaurants, they all looked incredible and are highly regarded. We did enjoy the bar, which served creative, delicious cocktails that were surprisingly reasonably priced and conveniently covered by my Amex hotel credit.
Out of every hotel we stayed at during our trip to Japan, the Conrad Osaka was our favorite by far. It set the standard for luxury, service, and hospitality, and we’ll absolutely be back.
If you’re visiting Osaka, do yourself a favor and stay at the Conrad Osaka. You won’t regret it!
I had a wonderful stay at Conrad Osaka. The location, room, view, and overall service were all excellent. Everything was well-organized, and the hotel provided the level of comfort and quality I expected from Conrad.
The staff made this stay even more special. very kind and attentive, and I was also pleasantly surprised to meet again, whom I had met during my trip to Toyama. Their warm hospitality and thoughtful service truly made a difference.
Every detail of my stay was perfect, from the facilities to the genuine care from the team. I highly recommend Conrad Osaka to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Osaka.
Fantastic hotel with an incredible sense of hospitality. Beautiful rooms and views over the city, and one of the highlights for me is the restaurant Kura: not only the view at night is incredible, the highlight has to be the delicious food prepared by chef Yoshi and the service from Haru, Kimiko and Yukie! Thanks for a very memorable experience!
I had a very pleasant stay at Conrad Osaka.
From the moment I arrived, the hotel felt well-prepared and genuinely welcoming. The check-in experience was smooth, attentive, and warm. The team listened carefully and responded well to the details I had requested, which made me feel truly welcomed.
The room was beautifully prepared. The pillows were ready, the welcome amenities were thoughtful, and the overall atmosphere felt calm, polished, and comfortable.
Dinner was a lovely surprise. The buffet line was not huge, but every dish tasted carefully made. It was simple, refined, and delicious. Sometimes quality really matters more than quantity, and this dinner proved that beautifully.
The pool and jacuzzi were excellent. It was exactly what I needed after a long day of travel, walking, hiking, and swimming. The facilities felt relaxing, well-maintained, and genuinely enjoyable.
What impressed me the most was the room layout. The 50 sqm room was extremely well-designed and functional. Everything felt spacious, practical, and comfortable. In my opinion, this is the kind of room planning that many hotels should learn from. It is not just about size, but about how intelligently the space is used.
The only downside was the bathrobe / in-room clothing size. It was much too small for me. As a guest who weighs around 140 kg, I would really appreciate it if the hotel could prepare larger sizes or provide more inclusive sizing options upon request. A luxury hotel should make every guest feel comfortable, welcomed, and considered.
Overall, Conrad Osaka delivered a very strong stay. Excellent service, thoughtful preparation, delicious food, beautiful facilities, and one of the best room layouts I have experienced. I left feeling comfortable, cared for, and very happy with my choice!
We visited KARU Teppanyaki resturant for a lunch course to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it was an absolutely perfect experience.
The view from the restaurant was breathtaking, and the food was truly magnificent. Every dish was outstanding, and the steak was cooked to absolute perfection.
The entire staff was incredibly kind and attentive, but we want to give a special thanks to our dedicated chef, Chef Yamamoto. His hospitality and skill made our celebration so much more memorable. We were told that he is retiring next month. We feel incredibly lucky to have experienced his amazing cooking before his retirement.
Chef Yamamoto, thank you so much for making my wife's birthday so special. We wish you all the very best and a wonderful, happy retirement in your next chapter!
Highly recommended for any special occasion!
Sabin in the 40 floor, he best of the best. Thank you for the hospitality.
La úbicacion es perfecta
The Conrad Osaka blew us away, wow.
It starts with the lobby, which has stunning views of Osaka. The lobby is on the 40th floor and spans 2-floors. The glass is 200+feet across by 60+ feet high and the view of Osaka is (at night or day) will take your breath away. My favorite was relaxing in the lobby at night, just taking in that view.
The service was tier one. The staff remembered our preferences, always greeted us warmly and comms between depts was seamless.
The base rooms are very large by Japanese hotel standards, look modern and are very comfortable. The floor to ceiling glass gives outstanding views of Osaka, particularly at night.
If you have access to the executive lounge, it's impressive and offers a good drinks/food spread.
Breakfast consists of a very large buffet and a smaller a la carte selection. Quality and variety were all excellent. We rated the breakfast 9/10, it's outstanding.
The Conrad Osaka blew us away. We can't wait to come back.
For those staying at the Conrad Tokyo as well. We enjoyed the Conrad Osaka a lot more than the Conrad Tokyo.
Our stay at the Conrad Osaka was unfortunately disappointing and fell well below the standards I have come to expect from a luxury five-star hotel.
As an American Express Platinum member, we received the usual benefits, including a one-category room upgrade (subject to availability) and a hotel credit. Check-in was completed in the executive lounge, and we were advised that our room was not yet ready, so we went out for a few hours.
Upon our return, we approached the desk simply to collect our room key. We were greeted by a light-haired European gentleman who abruptly barked, “IDs please!” despite the fact that we had already completed the check-in process earlier in the day. His manner throughout the interaction felt condescending, dismissive and entirely lacking in the warmth and professionalism one expects from a luxury hotel. We explained that we had already checked in and were merely waiting for our key, yet we were still asked to wait.
After approximately 15 minutes, having travelled extensively and feeling tired, I enquired again. I was told that the delay was because the key still needed to be “cut.” Frankly, I found this explanation difficult to believe. Remarkably, when I pressed the matter, the key appeared within less than two minutes. The entire interaction felt unnecessarily obstructive and left a very poor first impression. For a hotel of this calibre, such behaviour is simply unacceptable.
The room itself was comfortable and offered excellent views of Osaka.
A further disappointment was the blackout curtains, which did not extend fully to the floor. As a result, light entered the room from the early hours of the morning, disturbing sleep each day. Effective blackout curtains are a basic expectation in a luxury hotel, particularly one catering to international travellers dealing with jet lag, and this oversight significantly detracted from the overall comfort of our stay.
The executive lounge was another area that failed to meet expectations. The choice of wines was extremely limited, particularly for a hotel of this category, and there was no Champagne available. Equally disappointing was the level of service. Tables were often left uncleared for extended periods, resulting in used glasses and plates remaining on display far longer than they should have. Attention to detail is one of the hallmarks of luxury hospitality, and this was noticeably lacking throughout our visits to the lounge.
The wellness facilities were equally underwhelming. The pool is relatively small and was crowded with children during our stay. Rules appeared to be inconsistently enforced, with some guests not wearing the required swimming caps despite signage stating that they were compulsory. The atmosphere therefore felt more like a busy public leisure facility than a luxury hotel spa.
The onsen was pleasant enough but entirely unremarkable and lacked the sense of tranquillity, refinement and exclusivity that one often finds in Japan. Given the country’s exceptional standards for wellness facilities, this was another missed opportunity.
The changing rooms were cramped, with extremely small lockers that made changing awkward and uncomfortable. The shower facilities were basic, functional and devoid of any luxury touches. Overall, the leisure facilities felt more like those of a standard business hotel than a flagship luxury property carrying the Conrad name.
Another surprise was the breakfast arrangement. In virtually every five-star hotel we have visited around the world, guests with executive lounge access are able to enjoy breakfast in the lounge. At Conrad Osaka, we were informed that lounge breakfast is apparently available only on weekends. This seemed a rather unusual restriction for a hotel operating at this level.
As a result, breakfast was taken in the main restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience was not particularly memorable. While the selection was adequate, it lacked finesse, refinement and the sense of Japanese serenity that one expects when staying at a luxury hotel in Japan. The presentation was uninspiring, the atmosphere felt busy and functional, and the overall experience failed to leave any lasting impression.
There are positive aspects to the hotel. The views are spectacular, the location is excellent, and the rooms themselves are comfortable. However, the poor handling of our arrival, the condescending attitude displayed by a member of staff, the blackout curtain issue, the disappointing executive lounge, the underwhelming wellness facilities, the cramped changing areas, and the uninspiring breakfast experience meant that the overall stay did not justify either the reputation or the price point of the Conrad brand.
Having stayed at many luxury hotels across Asia, Europe and the Middle East, I left feeling that Conrad Osaka falls short of the standards expected from a true five-star luxury property. There are simply too many details that have been overlooked, and luxury hospitality is ultimately defined by attention to detail.
Fantastic stay at Conrad Osaka.
The location was extremely convenient, whether walking around the city or using the trains to explore Osaka.
One of the highlights was the breathtaking skyline view the moment you enter the hotel lobby, truly one of the most impressive arrivals I’ve experienced at a hotel.
The breakfast was excellent, especially the okonomiyaki, which was a fun and delicious local touch.
Valentino, the Service Quality Manager, was especially warm and welcoming throughout our stay.
The executive lounge had a very nice selection of food and drinks, although it could feel a little crowded at times.
Also, the bar menu may genuinely be the prettiest menu I’ve ever seen.
Would absolutely stay here again on a future visit to Osaka.
The hotel itself was great, nice room. The gym was probably the best hotel gym I’ve ever been to. The front desk staff were over the top formal which read borderline rude and were overly intrusive about when the other guest was checking in for our group.
The hospitality at Conrad Osaka was truly exceptional, with outstanding service from the lounge staff, Atmos Dining, the Front Reception team, and room service. A sincere thanks to Joseph Latham, Ryoko Dewees, and Yuji Hiramatsu for their remarkable dedication and care. From assisting with a hard‑to‑find product to securing the last available item and checking multiple stores across Japan, each of them went above and beyond. Their collective efforts were both memorable and meaningful.
Upon arrival, the bell team greeted and welcomed us to the property. The check in process seamless and natural. It was like returning to a friend’s home. The view from the reception desk, breathtaking. The Kura Team – Yu, Yoshimi, and Chef Yamamoto. They made every effort to accommodate our late reservations and prepared a meal that we will always remember.
