Pros:

This is a beautiful resort. The hot springs are very natural and relaxing, and very clean. There is an infinity pool looking out at the volcano. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We in got a lot hiking and activity in the area but also enjoyed the gym at the hotel which is well- equipped.

So very pleased with everything about our stay at Paradise Hot Springs. All of the staff was súper attentive and professional. The thermal pools were emptied and pressure cleaned every day (impressive), then obviously refilled. Everything was constantly being maintained and cleaned. The breakfast was beyond our expectations. The location was peaceful and quiet. Loved our time there. Highly recommend this stay.

I really enjoyed the fact that it was in the middle of the jungle, the breakfast was top tier everyday. I enjoyed the hot springs they were really nice, and the rooftop pool overlooking the volcano was the cherry on top.

Amazing resort!
Pros:

All was perfect! The staff were professional and very friendly, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, the pools and the grounds were beautiful and well kept, the room was spotless and the beds were super comfortable. We had a very relaxing and romantic evening, we would go back in a heartbeat!

Our family truly loved our stay in Paradise. The quiet, the attentiveness of the staff, the 9 hot tins and pools were all fabulous. Our room faced the Aernal Volcano and just feet from our door was the pasture where Brahma steers grazed and slept. The location put is in easy proximity to the rainforest and mountains for some of the best adventures of our lives. Oh! Let me not forget the infinity pool of the upper brunch cafe facing arenal. Stunning and even beats the swim up bar on the property. Thank you Paradise Hot Springs.

The grounds and hotel were stunningly beautiful with direct view of Arenal! Very relaxing environment. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were delicious with local fruits and juices as well as many both sweet and savory options. Room was deluxe and bed super comfortable.

Ronaldo explained the maintenance process for the thermal pools, including their daily emptying, cleaning, and refilling, as well as the water source and overall upkeep of the hotel. Ronaldo and Jackie were fantastic, and everyone at the hotel was exceptionally kind.

Pros:

Staff very friendly and good.
Hot springs don’t open until 11AM.
Relatively small property so can’t really move around—felt like a compound, not a resort.
Rooms very large and nice but no views.
My wife went ZipLining in the morning and there was essentially nothing for me to do. Pools closed, too small to walk around and even coffee bar not open until 12.
Buffet OK but certainly not extensive.

Top 10 family stay of all time!
Pros:

Absolutely stunning interior grounds. Don’t let the outside fool you. Not crowded even when the hotel seemed fairly full. Excellent staff and the hot pools are worth the price of accommodations. We will definitely be back next time we are in La Fortuna, hasta proxima!

Disappointing- uncomfortable
Pros:

Overall disappointing - Rooms were good - view of Volcano was great - Hot Springs was wonderful.
Service and the staff attitude were just downright uncomfortable. Like we were such a burden. No smiles not accommodating helpfulness. No attempt at a warm reception. I mean this place is not cheap. I expected much more professional and welcoming atmosphere.
Lady at the reception seemed like she was working at a funeral home, there was uniformed crew member just lounging in the reception area as we tried to check in that was blasting clips and reels with profanity on his phone. We could hardly hear the lady talking to us but even after we expressed we couldn’t hear what she was saying she just shrugged her shoulders.
The guy that “helped” ( he drive a golf cart for a total of one minute and unloaded our 3 pieces of carryon luggage) us to our room complained to another worker there in Spanish thinking we won’t understand that we didn’t tip him enough!!!
Staff at breakfast were just so inconvenienced by us. No talking not good morning no smiles. Just seemed they were forced to be there against their will.
The bartender was super nice though. The only welcoming person. He should run the place and fire everyone and rehire people that want to be there.
Overall while the rooms and resort were nice out experience was not. We would not start there again or recommend to anyone else. There are many other places.
