Ahnvee Resort Adults Only

The resort was closed and had taken payment for a stay they could not deliver on

Covers and pillows were stained, wifi and tv did not work, pool inside room was not heated it was freezing (the main reason we booked room), windows did not lock so room was unsecure, bathroom had a sewer smell and to top it off it was a brothel/strip club. When we were informed that there was a club that opened at 1030pm we never assumed a strip club until we walked by and seen naked women dancing. It made a lot of sense after the fact when all we noticed were men staying at the hotel.

This hotel has so much potential but its a dump. The rooms are huge but the bedding, towels and furniture is sub par. The rooms are not very clean and kind of grimy. Its ok for the price but its not nice

Helpful and friendly staff

I had a quick stay because my flight was cancelled due to the hurricane. Im actually writing this review in thevtaxi on my way to catch a new flight out of SDQ. They hooked me up with a great rate on a one way airport transfer.

I found this spot on Expedia and I think I just found my new favorite duck off! The place was clean, had a couple restaurants, and had pretty good music playing by the pool. But thats not what sealed the deal for me. I came in around 5pm and decided to check out the pool bar because there was a crowd gathered around the TV wall. I met a couple good dudes from Cali who had been there for a week and put me on to the nightlife game. I usually stay in Puerta Plata so i had no idea this city had such a lively nightlife. Then, it hit me, I saw this pretty young lady walk up to the bar and get a drink, then sit down and eat at the table behind us withbher friends. I asked my new found OG if he knew her and to my surprise, he said yes! This chick was a profesional dancer in the Gentlemans club onsite! This just took the cake for me.

Fast forward to around 11:30pm after a power nap, they have a Gentlemans Club called KOD that serves food and shows the games all night until 3am. The girls are all so cool in there. I had a great time. Not alot of people in there, just about 15 to 20 of us, but all the girls knew how to keep us entertained.

Lots of maintenance issues, loud (couldn’t sleep) no hot water, broken AC, plumbing leaks, terrible service. They also promised to reimburse 2nights stay and it’s been over a month, no word from them. Horrible experience.

Water service was out for 2 days. The front desk said the water pump was broken. Repairs were made but it was a patch work job because water work for a few minutes and be out for entire day and night. I’m personally never staying there again. If the water doesn’t work, the shower and toilet doesn’t. So no bathing or flushing your urine or poop.

They gave me a room I didn't pay for, I paid for a suite and I git a basic room. Nothing in the room worked or worked properly. Room was dirty couldn't get new sheets or towels. Shower worked when it wanted to. Only thing good about this place is the air conditioning worked and they had women walking around. Everything else was no good. Horrible!!!!!!

Property wasn’t what I expected. It’s under construction and filled with prostitutes hanging around.

We stayed in a king room. There was a separate room with a couch and a bar. The couch was dirty and stained. The king bed was comfortable. The bathroom was the size of an entire hotel room. It had one big showerhead on the roof. Good pressure and hotwater. Very strange room. Water didnt drain properly so after a shower, for the rest of the evening, you walked though old shower water touse the bathroom etc…the air conditioner didnt work. It just blew warm air. We called the manager in to show him the next morning.he said he would have a tech look at it.we checked out so dont know if it was.
Heres my impression: the hotel is run down. It needs cleaning and painting.It is not a 4 star. There is a poolside bar that offers a pool party every evening. There were only a couple guests at the hotel while we were there but were quite a few ladies on premises.(?) this also means that pool music is blasting up against your hotel room at night. Signage within the resort include foul language warning against use of video cameras. Im thinking that the reason that it is an adult only hotel is because it has deteriorated into a base hotel. Wouldnt recommend to a couple looking for a luxury stay.

The property went down sents the last time i stay there i not every stay there again every!!

My review hinges on whether or not you are coming for the girls, if you are not, you definitely should find another place to stay. If you are, then my review is a 3 star. The food is great, the nightclub area is great. The staff is mostly friendly and will work with you. However, I was disappointed in the room, it is a little shabby and the rooms need a facelift in my opinion. Also, I got the penthouse suite with the jacuzzi but there is no where near enough hot water to even begin to fill it up so it is basically like being in a normal unheated swimming pool that has water jets. They also have some quirky rules that you will run into it and that wouldn't be a problem normally but they tend to give you an attitude about it as if you should have known. The location isn't very good, there's not much with in a short walk, i had to use a taxi if i needed to go to the super market or the ATM. The cleaning service did come daily and did a very good job cleaning and the lady was very nice. So overall, the place was "ok" but if I were ever to come here again, i would not pick this place.

The property is actuaaly a local apartment complex that is in the middle of the city and has no marking or identifiers on the outside. If you're a single guy looking for prostitutes-this spots for You-Not ME.

Security loves to hassle the guests and they really dont have a real plan to deal with the covid situation alot of people without mask in certain areas. Room was dirty when i got there but house keeper cleaned it nicely afterwards. Staff around area not proffesional

A great resort. Local girls are usually sharing rooms at the hotel because the place is themed mostly for bachelors who come to meet people and enjoy the local beaches.
The resort’s security (Pro wrestler caliber) will charge visitors entry fees for access to the bar and pool area, and they weed out the undesirable elements that may otherwise wander in from the beach. This is what you are paying for, in case you were wondering, and this bespoke singles atmosphere, where your hotel is essentially a live-in nightclub where your potential dates are pre-vetted is generally worth the cost, and frankly, quite genius.
The cost of dinner and drinks is still excellent compared to the U.S. and Europe, and is of excellent quality. It’s bistro themed, yet has the feel of being home cooking, made with love. For most visitors, the prospect of meeting a young woman who ends up being their girlfriend for the week, and maybe even shows them around town is an attractive arrangement, and generally mutually beneficial.
The hotel has a friendly staff, and generally, has the feel of a slightly dated Caribbean four-star hotel, which is to say, everything is neat and where it should be, yet seems as if it would have been magnificent - five or six years ago. Think of hooking up with the second-prettiest cheerleader in school in your 2010 Mercedes, on a bluff overlooking the nicest beach in town. Except, she’s different everyday. This is the Ahnvee experience.

My malor problem was price I arrived a day early and found that Expedia charged me over twice the rate the hotel charged . Does not make me feel good about Expedia. 825 vis 360 is stealing
