Das Personal war außerordentlich freundlich, hilfsbereit und offen für alle Fragen. Ich habe mich sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Die Lage ist etwa abgelegen also muss einem bewusst sein, dass es etwas länger dauert bis man an einer Bahnstation ist. Ansonsten ist die Ruhe sehr gut. Weg vom Trubel ☺️
The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.
Die Unterkunft war in einem hervorragenden Zustand, gepflegt und das Zimmer makellos sauber. Das Zimmer war für japanische Verhältnisse relativ groß und das Bett war gemütlich. Besonders gefallen hat mir die Einrichtung mit den Tatami Matten und niedrigen Betten. Es gab ein liebevoll zubereitetes traditionelles buddhistisches Frühstück.
Ein Seven Eleven und weitere kleinere Shops sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die U-Bahn Station ist in ein paar Minuten fußläufig erreichbar. Eine Coin Laundry ist 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Das Personal ist überaus höflich, kompetent und freundlich. Wir haben uns während dem Aufenthalt sehr wohl gefühlt. Am Abreisetag konnten wir unser Gepäck noch aufbewahren lassen. Ich kann das Hotel absolut empfehlen, und würde es wieder buchen.

Sehr sauber und sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Das Shoshin Ryori Frühstück war sehr lecker. In der Nähe ein interessantes Tempelgelände und ein schöner Garten.
Das Zimmer war etwas klein, also der Nicht-Tatami Bereich in dem man die Koffer abgelegt hat (wenn man an den Inhalt ran wollte). War dann etwas umständlich die Badezimmer- oder Zimmertür zu öffnen.
The hotel is buddhist-style hotel, so they have activities like daily meditation sessions and more, breakfast that is an amazing vegetarian shojin-ryori style with English explanations. These were our first days in Japan and it was a very welcoming environment!
The location is a bit out of the way but very near public transport and also several great spots for sightseeing.

The location was what we needed. Room was clean and pretty quiet.
It doesn’t really provide an authentic Japanese experience. It seems mostly designed for tourists who have never been to Japan.
Breakfast includes bread and jam, coffee from a machine, and orange juice, which didn’t feel particularly traditional. The room is half tatami and half regular flooring, with standard Western-style beds.
There’s nothing inherently bad about the place, but if you’re looking for an authentic Japanese stay, this probably isn’t it.
The nicest part of our stay in Waqoo was the opportunity to do some local calligraphy, even though I expected more of an experience and we were just left alone in a room copying the sutra, as well as the meditation session with the monk from the very taditional shrine nearby
The room is very basic, the tatami takes up almost all the space and doesn’t leave much room for luggage and shoes (at least not for 2 people). Also, I was not very happy with the washroom as it only fits one person at a time and feels more of a temporary bathroom than a permanent construction. Together, it made the stay less comfortable

It was a bit of a walk from the nearest train station, but there are lots of restaurants and other conveniences not far away.
