Wonderful Celebration Birthday for my mom
Pros:

On 9 July, I celebrated my mom’s birthday at Bica & Co, Rosa Malacca Hotel.

A big thank you to Mr Ali from F&B. He helped me a lot to arrange the table and food. He was very kind and cooperative.

I loved the lively atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was good and delicious.

There was a small issue with a missing item, but when I called, the staff gave me full cooperation and helped solve it quickly. I really appreciate that.

Overall we had a wonderful experience. Thank you Rosa Malacca team! Highly recommend for family celebrations 💛

Good value for money overall, though the hotel could use better upkeep.
Pros:

Check-in was hassle-free, and the location is excellent—within walking distance of Jonker Street, making it convenient to explore the area. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The bed was spacious and comfortable, and the room came with all the basic amenities needed for a pleasant stay. Overall, it offers good value for money and is a solid choice for a short trip.

Cons:

While the overall experience was pleasant, the hotel could do more to maintain its standards. Better upkeep and improved cleanliness would make the stay feel more polished. As a returning guest, there doesn’t seem to have been much improvement since my previous visit, giving the impression that the property is relying on its reputation rather than continuing to elevate the guest experience.

Pros:

Beautiful hotel with a brutalist design. Have to give 5 stars to the front office lady who was a one-woman show at the front desk in the morning, while she RSVP-ed guests for breakfast. All these done with a big genuine smile. The same girl checked us in to our family suite, and the hotel alerted us via WhatsApp that we could check in an hour early - while we were on the road – which gave my autistic son more time to decompress after a long drive. Lives up and deserves to be selected for the prestigious Michelin Guide Hotel Selection.

Excellent choice for families
Pros:

Excellent choice for families!

The location and noise levels were perfectly fine, and the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. We stayed in a huge family room that was super clean. Amenities were decent too. Would definitely stay again!

I had a lovely time there. It is probably my 4the stay at Rosa. Would not want to stay elsewhere. Rosa has maintained it

Cons:

Not enough local variety on the menu. In fact, there was only one: Nasi Goreng.

Pros:

Hotel was easy to find and parking was available onsite. Industrial chic decor of the room was quite refreshing. Room was also very spacious. Bathroom had dual wash basins which is a bonus.

Cons:

Shortage of hanging hooks in the bathroom and the shower area didn't have a door which led to the bathroom floor getting wet after a shower. Hotel was also in a more isolated location. Not many shopping and dining options within walking distance
