ここにしてよかった。
Pros:

ドジャース戦観戦で利用しました。ホテルからスタジアムまでは4番バスを利用しましたが、バス停が近く夜遅く帰ってきても不安なく歩けました。地下鉄の駅やスーパー（Ralphs（ラルフズ）も近く便利なロケーションでした。
部屋はエレベータホール横で出入に便利が良く、早朝のチェックアウトでしたが、キーをフロント前のBOXにドロップするだけでとても簡単でスムースなのがよかったです。ルーフトップバーは有名らしく行ってみたかったのですが、毎夜試合観戦で残念ながら利用できず。また、次回も是非利用したいです。

Cons:

西日が当たるのか、午後～夕方は少し部屋の暑く感じました。集中空調のようだったので、個別に調整はでなかったので夜寝苦しくはないか心配でしたが、観戦後戻ってくる頃が快適な温度でした。

The room, the hotel and the whole area were so cute and amazing! Everything in this hotel was nice, especially the rooftop bar with the pool! Great location, they have a security in the first floor which made us feel safe here at all times. Will come back again.

Style over substance – disappointing stay and definitely not worth the price
Cons:

Unfortunately, our stay at Freehand Los Angeles was disappointing from start to finish. The hotel markets itself as a stylish boutique property with historic charm, but the reality felt very different.

Upon check-in, we were initially given a room on the second floor, only to discover that the window latch wasn't working properly. We were moved to the seventh floor, which was a slight improvement, but the room itself was still very dated and tired. While I appreciate that the hotel is housed in a historic building, there is a difference between preserving character and using the age of a building as an excuse for not making basic upgrades.

The rooms are in serious need of attention. The carpets were old, storage was limited, and the overall finish felt worn and neglected. The beds were comfortable enough, but the only real charm we found was the tiling in the bathroom.

Noise was another major issue. Even on the seventh floor, we could hear practically every car, truck and motorbike passing on the street below. The windows seemed to offer little to no sound insulation, and we ended up having to wear earplugs to get a decent night's sleep. Given how loud it was on the seventh floor, I can only imagine what our original second-floor room would have been like.

The rooftop pool area is probably the hotel's biggest selling point in its marketing, and while it photographs beautifully, the reality is underwhelming. Despite temperatures reaching 31°C during our stay, the pool water was absolutely freezing. It also appeared poorly maintained, with noticeably cloudy water that didn't look particularly inviting. The entire rooftop felt more geared towards creating an Instagram-worthy backdrop than providing a comfortable, enjoyable space for hotel guests to spend the day relaxing. The Broken Shaker staff were unpleasant.

The hotel overall felt quite dilapidated, which is particularly disappointing given the boutique experience it tries to promote.

Pros:

The Freehand is a very stylish place. It’s got a great vibe and the aesthetic is very charming. With the inclusion of their bunk bed rooms, they have a fun selection of room options for all kinds of travelers.

Cons:

It was very disappointing to discover that their restaurant is no longer operational. They used to have a great lobby restaurant for breakfast but - since being bought by private equity - it has since been shut down. There’s a coffee/pastry window some of the time? But not having an onsite breakfast option feels downright cheap.

Good as cheap stay, but not as a base to see LA
Pros:

Being cheap is by far the biggest selling point, but then be prepared to spend an absolute fortune on taxis if you do intend to actually see any nice bits of LA as you WILL NOT be staying downtown. Spacious rooms good enough for friends sharing, as having two bunk beds in a private room with nice private shower is rare.

Cons:

Drinks at the rooftop - 3x simple drink nearly $100 bucks!! Felt ripped off immediately.
Swimming pool was unfortunately closed
No parking nearby and massive valet charges. Had to figure things out by ourselves
nice as a cheap comfortable and clean hostel with private rooms for someone just needing to stay in local area for a night or two, rather than a base for sightseeing LA.

Access to hotel and the hotel lobby. Also enough paid parking places around. The greatest positive thing of note was the Paris Baguette Bakery two blocks near the hotel.

Cons:

Unfortunately we were presented with a cramped hotel room, much less spacious than advertised(20 square meters of footroom), which was a great bother given the money spent for using it. Worst for money on spend for accomadation

Pros:

Really nice aesthetic of the hotel, my room was very comfortable and large. The rooftop bar and pool area was nice. The cafe bar in the morning was a good place to she’s a coffee.

Cons:

During my stay of 5 nights there were numerous private events, one of which closed the pool area and I was asked to leave at 3pm, that was extremely disappointing and I think poor to kick out a paying hotel guest. I complained and was given the days facility fee back, $30, but that wasn’t really adequate compensation for the loss of my afternoon by the pool. Such a shame because everything else was great but this really let the whole experience down. The only other thing was that room cleaning was sporadic, I.e not every day. I randomly had towels taken out of my room and not replaced and it took a long time for new ones to be sent up.
