Location
Room smelled musty and of syrup. Breakfast was not good and you could barely get to the breakfast due to the type of greedy people staying there. There was no breakfast left and I went at a prime time
Put me in an adjoining room to a very loud family.
Clean and quiet
No coffee maker in room and mini fridge on floor too low hard to access. Breakfast options limited.
My flight was delayed; I called them to let them know that I would be checking in the day after at 10 to have a shower.
They charged me the room (what is OK) but when I arrived after the whole night flying my room wasn't available.
They gave me a lot of different excuses (internal policies, online checking) BUT the room that I paid wasn't available to have a shower.
No room safe. The overflow holes in the basin of the sink were black; unfortunately it appears this is not being cleaned. It was quite gross.
Not the hotels fault, but at 1:30am i was awakened by a drunk yelling in the hallway, presumably trying to get someone to let him in the room
The breakfast was good. We stayed 2 nights; the first night was a Saturday night and it was kinda loud, and I was nervous about the location, but the second night It felt more comfortable. The lobby had a nice, comfortable lounge vibe. I enjoyed the hydration station with water and ice fill-up just outside of the gym location.
I think some of the lights over the bed were out in the room. Not sure how good they acually cleaned the room, highway traffic was alittle loud, but I guess that is bigger city troubles. We would of liked a coffee access in the room as well. but not that big of a deal. It was comfortible.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Tru by Hilton in Oklahoma City.
After an exhausting 13-hour road trip, my family and I arrived hoping to rest and recover. During our stay, we found a tick in our room and immediately informed the hotel staff. At first, they seemed worried and willing to help.
The next day, everything changed. Instead of addressing the problem professionally, the manager began to insinuate that we had taken the tick to the hotel ourselves. Instead of taking responsibility for a possible problem on the property, they tried to blame us.
What made the situation even worse was that we were practically expelled from the hotel after reporting the problem. Before allowing us to leave, they told us to wait while the management checked the room to verify that nothing was missing, making us feel as if they were accusing us of theft despite having done nothing wrong.
After a 13-hour trip, the last thing any guest expects is to be blamed for reporting a concern, treated with distrust and forced to leave. The lack of professionalism, respect and customer service shown by management was shocking.
We came looking for rest and hospitality, but instead we left feeling ashamed, disrespected and treated unfairly. I can't recommend this hotel based on our experience.
P. D.: They allow dogs in the hotel... obviously there is a possibility that there are ticks. I'm not sure why they can't use common sense.
Loved the common area, to sit, hangout or play billiard. They had free coffee and the breakfast was also nicely organized even if it's the same as every other hotel, but had better options. They also had a service to buy things, fill water bottles, ice and also had a nice workout room.
The only think I hated about the stay was that the wifi was very poor. The connection did not help with my work. I had to use my own mobile data most of the time.
Tru properties are always colorful and inviting. It's refreshing when compared to other budget options. The staff was friendly and helpful (bringing up towels when there were none in the room). The hotel was clean and the room was well equipped. Note: the ice machine and buckets are on the first floor so you won't find the ice bucket in your room. We didn't mind this because having ice machines near the rooms can be noisy.
The breakfast was disappointing. An "American" breakfast should have real eggs (not the dried, instant ones) and bacon or real sausage. There was no real cranberry juice, only orange juice and some flavored waters. We expected a bit better from Hilton - even in a more budget-friendly version of Hilton. With the type of meat/egg options offered, Hilton might as well just call this a Continental breakfast.
Friendly staff
Shade trim piece fell on us when we put the shades up in our room.
