Simon's Place

After experiencing some shocking places around the island I found Simon place to be a 5star stay. Staff very welcoming our room and bath was very clean. This place made our last few days in the island very comfortable. Thank you Simon’s Place

It's what you expect for the price. Nothing wrong with it if you just need a bed between full day activities. Easy enough walk to water, restaurants, and main Street. Nothing special, but nothing outstandingly wrong.
You need to request fresh towels etc. The rooms don't get serviced unless you ask.
Has ceiling fan and air con though.

The place was clean and had reasonable breakfast.
The bed was too soft for us. Didn't sleep well.
We were given a room right opposite the restaurant which was annoying. It was very noisy there. Always in the evening sometime sat tight outside the restaurant (which was right outside of our room) and watching some videos online. As there are no windows you can close, we could hear it all right into our room. The same in the morning - they started to playing jazz at the reception area from before 7am really loud which woke us up. This music would not stop for hours.
For the price you pay, we can't really complain about the lack of facilities.
But location of our room was unlucky.
Perhaps we would have better stay in one of the rooms at the back.

The lovely staff make the stay excellent. Always smiling and helpful. The room was clean but tired. We would be happy to revisit.

There appeared to be a restaurant, with a menu, but it was never open. Rooms super basic. Charmless noisy location. No way to contact staff, they didn't respond to my request for an airport transfer. Breakfast was instant coffee and some fruit and chewy pancakes with no syrup, or cereal. I needed three nights between flights across a Sunday (Tonga is *closed* on Sundays) so I was trapped, but next time I'll spring for an actual hotel with actual amenities and a staff who engages.

They miss emails throughout Expedia to book transfers. I stayed four nights and the bedroom was not cleaned, so not sure how often they do it. Otherwise good for the average price in the area. Huge bedroom. Amazing people working there.

I like the location of the property and the staff are very friendly and kind. I would strongly recommend to short stay travellers as well as longer stay travellers. If is also convenient and safe. There is a security guard work overnight for the safety of their customers, very important. I would use again. Thank you Simon’s Place. Mālō ‘aupito!

My partner and I had a great week-long stay at Simon's Place. The Deluxe room was very large, nice and comfortable with a private outdoor area and private en-suite. Breakfast each morning (including Sundays!) was simple and tasty. Staff were helpful and supportive with rides to and from the airport, laundry, etc. Highly recommend Simon's Place for a visit to Nuku'alofa and Tongatapu.

Room 101 that was given was pretty run down. The toilet was still dirty with stains from the pervious person who had been staying there but luckily I had my own cleaning supplies to clean it.

Best food in Tonga. Staff were super friendly. Convenient location.

Rooms very clean and comfortable. Well maintained buildings and grounds. The staff are friendly and kind eager to help.

The first night of arriving, the hotel reception was closed then called for accessibility. Everything went well except for the restaurant being closed all evening and night

Best location, close to everything

The basic facilities are in place, including a clean room, a warm shower, and plenty of hot water. Wifi is also fine. The breakfast is simple, but it is available every day, including Sundays.
Since electricity is provided by solar system, it is not affected by power outages, but if the weather is bad for a long time, the shower may not heat up.
