Kembara Resort

Need a night stay before heading to redang. Picked this hotel cause most of others are fully booked.

Pro
- Staff are friendly and helpful.
- Clean.

Con
- Small and old.
- No direct access to beach.
- No sound proof even can hear snoring from next door. Noise from next door are unbearable because it's a family with a few kids.

A nice quiet resort right by the beach. It's also really close to Merang Jetty. I was there while the resort was being upgraded, so some facilities weren't available yet, but the staff were very friendly and always ready to help. Lots of cats too! :)

Cleanliness , air commodition all oky, but The room was very small

Suitable for whom stay only to sleep at night and do outdoor activities. Everything just simple and nice. I went on March 2019, some part of the place still under construction for pool side.

The standard room is in a barracks style building with "windows" only to an inside corridor. The bathroom is a toilet stall with a shower in it. No sink. There is no place to sit and relax outside to enjoy the oceanfront. The grounds are a mess of broken down playground equipment and construction materials. The breakfast provided was rice or noodles but it was all gone by the time we arrived three minutes after the posted breakfast time. There was no restaurant, no internet, TV didn't work. Basically this is a fine place if all you need is a clean place to crash between scuba outings, but don't expect a "resort."

The chalet is located not far from Merang Jetty. Convenient for your stay if you need to catch morning ferry to Redang. Pay RM5 to the hotel staff to request for boat transfer to Merang Jetty. Depending on your stay in Redang because there are 2 jettys there. Pls check with your hotel in Redang which jetty in Merang will bring you to the Island. Advisable to use Syahbandar Jetty instead of Redang bcoz you will face problem to get public trspt if you use Merang Jetty to Redang. Syahbandar not far from city centre and grab is easy to get.

Room is clean. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is good. Choose nasi dagang. It's delicious.

Overall is very good only some need to look at.... like standard room cant connect resorts wifi at all... upgrade room but wifi still slow, no mineral water standby in the room, water heater need to request, and last no one tidy up my room.... but staff very kind n friendly
