Pros:

Al bij binnenkomst voelden wij ons meteen welkom. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer was groot en voorzien van alle benodigdheden (vooral de wasmachine met droger was een fijne extra). Ons beviel ook het typisch Japanse interieur. Het bed was comfortabel. Het hotel ligt tegenover de To-ji tempel en het is maar een kwartier lopen naar het station en naar een groot winkelcentrum. Ondanks dat een aan een drukke straat ligt is het vrij rustig. En vanaf de rooftop heb je een geweldig uitzicht.

We loved staying at Sunrise and recommend it.

Cons:

My only suggestion is to install benches in front or in back so your guest can sit, relax, and listen to the water. There isnt a place for guests to sit outside their room

Best place we stayed at across Kyoto and Tokyo. Best part of our entire trip. Such kind and considerate staff at a lovel
Pros:

Large rooms with laundry, beautiful Japanese style gardens with lot of fish, very nice staff, great location right opposite toji. So none of staff to let kids feed the fish

Pros:

作為第一次來到京都的觀光客來說，這個住宿的地點非常好：
1. 距離東寺站很近，走路10分鐘內可以到達，而東寺站的下一站便是京都車站，可方便轉車
2. 路線筆直不易迷路，附近治安很好
3. 白天上頂樓可以拍照，因為住宿點就在東寺的對面，是拍景點的絕佳位置~
4. 房內的設施讓我最滿意的是洗衣機，除了洗衣還能烘乾，這對我們只待2天的遊客來說是很實用的功能，而且如果你需要，還能向櫃台買洗衣劑
5. 床鋪整潔乾淨、沐浴設備無任何瑕疵(有熱水，水量適中)

Cons:

我住宿的位置剛好有一半的牆壁屬於拉門，對外看到水池，對內是看到走廊，隔音的部分不是很好，可以從房內聽到外面講話的聲音，也不確定外面是否會聽到在房間內說話的聲音

An exceptional stay with kind staff, great location, and unforgettable atmosphere.
Pros:

It felt as if we were staying in a ryokan. The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and well-prepared. On our first morning, we were even able to feed goldfish, as the hotel has two small ponds. It was amazing that the five-story Toji pagoda is located right across from the hotel—we could admire it from the rooftop terrace.

The breakfast was an authentic Japanese bento box; we had to choose in advance what we wanted and when, and it was delivered to our room. The location is excellent, with both a bus stop and a metro station very close by. The area feels safe. There is also a great café and breakfast spot nearby (Cizool).

The hotel even provided us with umbrellas for our trips to Hiroshima, as well as a separate guide with recommendations for nearby restaurants. I would return here anytime. I can only recommend it. Thank you for the fantastic 4 days we spent there.

Cons:

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Pros:

Les chambres sont très spacieuses, le lit est d'un confort incroyable. On a pas la sensation d'être a l'hôtel mais plutôt d'être dans son appartement là bas c'est très dépaysant, le style de la chambre et le matériel a disposition aide beaucoup en ce sens :), la vue que la tour Toji juste en face est un plus non négligeable (et c'est encore plus beau de nuit). Le petit déjeuner est copieux et un vrai régal

Cons:

Juste un peu dommage pour la taille des pantoufles fournies qui était trop petites mais c'est un détail mineur.

Pros:

Super lokalita v centru Kyota, krásný výhled na vedlejší Toji Temple s volně přístupné střechy. Kousek na hlavní nádraží, případě autobusovou zastávku hned vedle. Na hlavní ulici dostupné konbini a restaurace. Ochotný a milý personál, který nám dokonce zdarma poskytl krmení pro místní kapry. Celý areál hotelu je vytvořený hodně v japonském stylu, zenové zahrádky, tradiční okapy, jezírka, sošky, bambusy. Pokoje útulné a moderní, dokonce s vlastní pračkou a sušičkou v jednom což bylo velice příjemné při cestování. Při vyplněné recenzi máte dostat navíc detergent zdarma, jinak je možnost zakoupit za pár desítek yenů. Koupelna připravená pro pohodlnou sprchu a napuštění vany. Rozměrově pokoj větší.

Cons:

Díky vlastnímu rozhodnutí nás zpětně mrzí, že jsme nevyužili možnost snídaně, jelikož to vypadá, že by mohla být zajímavá a chutná, bereme to jako poučení pro příště. Žádná negativa k ubytování bych ale asi skutečně nenašel.

Great place, exceptional staff
Pros:

Exceptionally friendly staff.
While checking in in our hotel in Nara, we noticed our daughter had forgotten her passport in her room at Sunrise Suites. One of the staff members of Sunrise was so kind to bring it to Nara the same evening.
Traditional setting, great views on magnificent Toji temple, 7 minutes walk from Toji station. Some rooms are a bit noisy. Great Japanese breakfast served in room.
Would definitely go again.

Ticked all pur boxes for stay in Kyoto.
Pros:

Staff delightful and keen to help.
Would have liked microwave in room otherwise all amenities great.
Location great and wonderful views of Pagoda opposite.
Very tranquil and peaceful setting within hotel with water features and rock pools and koi carp
Hard to believe just a step away from busy street ( though remarkably quiet so not disturbance at night)
24hrs grocery store nearby.
