Good points: friendly and helpful staff; good shower; decent breakfast with dishes cooked to order available.

Bad points: wi-fi signal was rarely able to reach my room (on the 2nd floor); the mattress was very hard; the AC unit is very loud and randomly makes noises throughout the night, even when switched off; monotonous and repetitive "muzak" playing in reception can be heard from the rooms, as early as 8am. The same music is played over and over in the restaurant - either turn it off or put some actual music on!

A perfect place with an excellent restaurant.

The only small downside is having to walk up two floors since there’s no lift.

This is a really great place to stay in Samarkand. Huge beds and huge rooms. The rooms have huge wardrobes, a fridge, kettle, safe, and a coffee maker. The bed is the biggest I've seen, but it's a little hard. It's close to Registan Square and a huge number of nice restaurants, even has its own restaurant attached that serves some great steak. The breakfast is really nice - you'll have a personal table with samsa and lots of snacks, and be able to order a specific breakfast on top.

非常にアクセスが便利で、どのタクシーに乗ってもホテル名を言えばわかる程有名なホテルでした。
歩いて5分程の場所には、コンビニや買い物もする所もあり利便性は良かったです。
隣がトルコ大使館なので夜も静かでした。
しかし部屋の冷房が壊れており殆ど効かず我慢をして利用をしていましたが、それに加えて洋室の天井から水が漏れてきたので部屋を交換をお願いしました。
変更は俊敏に、してくれましたが冷房が最初の部屋より効きが悪く最低温度の17度に設定しても殆どサウナ状態でした。
再度フロントにお願いしようとしましたが次の日にチェックアウトをするので、荷物を片すのも大変なため我慢しましたが大変でした。
ホテルが綺麗なだけに非常にガッカリでした。
部屋の交換の対応は早かったので良かったと思います。

サマルカンド新市街の幹線道路から少し入り込んだところにあります。
目立ちませんが、中は綺麗で部屋も広々としており気持ちよく滞在ができました。
併設のレストランは市内でも人気店のようで、朝食も気の利いたものでした。

I loved this hotel. It’s not exactly walkable to the historic attractions (though I did walk from the hotel to them), but it’s near a lot of restaurants and shopping. The hotel was clean and the staff was great and the room was huge.

We recently stayed at this hotel and were very satisfied with our stay! First of all, we would like to mention the excellent service: the staff was polite, attentive and always ready to help. The registration process was quick and hassle-free.
The room was clean, cozy and well equipped, it had everything you need for a comfortable stay: a comfortable bed, fresh linens, air conditioning, TV, kettle and mini-bar. The room was cleaned daily, and towels and toiletries were replenished in a timely manner.

The rooms are clean, cozy and well equipped with everything you need. The staff is polite, friendly and always ready to help. I especially liked the delicious and varied breakfast. The location is convenient — close to shops, cafes and attractions. We will definitely come back here again and recommend it to anyone who is looking for comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price!

We booked a tour of the 7 Lakes in Tajikistan through the hotel. They used a very experienced guide Islam. The drive in Tajikistan is very spectacular and the drivers booked for our tour were very skilful and we saw all 7 lakes. It was an exhilarating experience.

I like high quality boutique hotels in a local style. This is one of them. Eventually stayed here for more than 2 weeks.

This is a great place to stay at if looking for a short term stay in Samarkand. It is 30 minute walk to “old city” and the famous Registan, free breakfast, and beautiful garden are a nice tough as well. However the best thing about the hotel in my opinion is the helpfulness and friendliness of the hotel staff, especially Murod. He took time out of his day to show me around the city, from seeing the laser show at Registan and also for giving amazing advice on things to see. I would give Platan hotel a 10/10!
