The Marriott, Fresh Meadows is convenient to NYC and Long Island. It is a new, clean and safe.
Pros:

It was very nice to stay in a rather new hotel, located central to my travel requirements. I paid for breakfast at the cafe on the main level. The woman at the counter was lovely and quite friendly, as was the gentleman at the front desk when I checked in. I am grateful that the cafe was there, but I guess I've been spoiled over the years with 'breakfast included" options. I am glad I had a clean, safe place to stay.

Cons:

I spent more than I wanted to - in order to attend a family funeral, on valet parking, tips and breakfast, but I understand that NY pricing is a fact of life.

All and all not bad for an over night stay
Cons:

Did not like the free breakfast sandwich and Starbucks coffee.
Did like that I had to pay for parking. Was not on the third party web site.

I give it a 7 out of 10. Marriott has to do better.
Pros:

Staff was nice. Maintenance addressed issue quickly.

Cons:

Lots of things were broken. 1 elevator down. No free coffee in lobby. Had to change room due to heater not functioning.
