Stunning location in Tamar Estuary
Pros:

Fantastic location. Estuary view from every room!

Cons:

Bit of a climb with luggage to upper tier. If you are restricted in mobility ask for lower tier.

Fantastic river views from modern, comfortable accommodation.
Pros:

The views across the river were stunning. The chalets behind the hotel were really well maintained and had everything you needed. Staff were very friendly and the hotel did a great evening meal.

Disappointing as we would have liked a larger room and nicer dining facility.
Pros:

On arrival staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the view from our balcony. Easy parking on site.

Cons:

The king room was modern but in fact very small, we expected a larger room. Dining area was noisy. For an old hotel we did expect a dining room with a softer, old world feeling. No food available before lunch time. However we found an excellent breakfast in Exeter 15 minutes away. The old hotel could do with some love and attention and perhaps some restoration.

Great place for good value. Would stay again.
Pros:

Lovely location, property was clean and had some lovely amenities including the breakfast bar. Staff were accommodating when asked for late checkout too,

Uncomfortable
Cons:

Our outside light didn’t work when we went to use the spa.
Spa is quite visible from both pathways, not really advertised well as spa pictures show they’re positioned on the deck for the room I booked.
My friend and I felt uncomfortable as we had 2 men walk past asking if we were cold and staring.
Connecting door between 2 rooms, I didn’t see anything noted about this. It felt wrong to even have a conversation as someone was on the other side of the door. I would’ve liked to know this before arriving.
