hotelF1 Avranches Baie du Mont Saint Michel

So over the last two years, I have used the F1 chain quite a lot, travelling to the south of France and back. I have never had a problem up until this one.
I couldn't check in and had to go to the Ibis hotel over the road to check in. The automatic check in desk wasn't working, and it was nearly impossible to get anyone to see me. When they did, they gave me a slip of paper with room number and code. Back to the hotel and this didn't work, so back to the Ibis where they moved my rooms.
I had booked a room without a bathroom, which I normally do, and when I tried to shower, I tried all 9 cubicles. The first 8 didn't have working lights, the last one did, however the shower wouldn't run if you didn't hold the button down.
Overall, one of the worst hotels I've stayed at travelling. I won't be staying here.
My advice: take the money you would spend here and get a B&B or spend a bit more for the private bathroom.

Arrivé à 20h30, personne pour nous accueillir alors qu'il est noté que le personnel est présent jusqu'à 21h. La borne hors d'usage obligé d'aller à l'hôtel d'en face pour s'enregistrer, personne désagréable en même temps ça se comprend elle gère deux hôtels avec deux logiciels différents !
Notre chambre à peut près propre mais une odeur d'humidité importante dans celle ci. Habitué des F1 aujourd'hui très déçu du service !

This is a very cheap, basic hotel. Yes, the rooms are renovated (August 2025) and clean. However, the shared toilet and shower facilities are bad and ill maintained. Not good at all. Service is grumpy and not helpful. All in all not a good experience and definitely a place to be avoided.

Personne à la réception obligé d’aller à l’hôtel d’en face pour avoir la chambre sanitaires extérieur déplorable pas de papier toilette ect..ressemble plus à un dortoir qu’à une chambre d’hôtel !!!

Ok stay and service for the price. Surprising/dissapointing factor is no sink and soap in the toilets. Also no towels are provided

Pas terrible heureusement que la dame de l hôtel d en face etait la pour nous aider car impossible de récupérer notre réservation sur la borne et personne à l accueil

Dated her for 1 night with wife and 2 young kids while awaiting departure on the ferry. The receptionist was rude and had no English whatsoever and had zero interest in trying to communicate with us. Rooms were small was small and clean but the bed was so bad, in fact I’ve slept on better floors. But it’s the toilet situation that is really astonishing, there are only communal toilets and these are absolutely disgusting, they have no was facilities inside so you have to return to your room (touching handles) to simply wash up, however these toilets become almost I’m usable by mid evening (I’m sure you can imagine why) as they are a cross between airplane toilets and and concert portable toilets. Just pay the few quid extra and stay elsewhere .

Check-in was a struggle as the prepayment wasn't correctly processed. The automated system wouldn't allow me to check in.
Thankfully, the receptionist did eventually show up. Receptionist was polite and amiable.
There weren't any towels supplied in the room. Thankfully again, I had my own travel towel.
Room was comfortable.

Chambre petite sans wc sans douche sans climatisation pour un séjour a plus de 35° lit inconfortable et même cassé douche et WC pas trop mal moyennant les odeurs d'urine et autre.
