Perfect Architecture and interior design.
Pros:

This is the most beautiful hotel. Its unbelievably beautifully curated and we had a wonderful time exploring the grounds and noticing each and every little detail. We actually got upgraded to the best room and each room we were in had character and style. You can't have a bad room. The pool is gorgeous and monkeys pass through which is entertaining and only a little bit scary ahaha.

There isn't much to say. Everything is great.

Prachtig ingericht koloniaal huis met heerlijk zwembad
Pros:

Prachtig huis met een warme uitstraling en een mooie tuin. Vogelspotters kunnen hier hun hart ophalen. Het zwembad is precies goed en het personeel supervriendelijk.

Cons:

Tuktuks en uber chauffeurs hebben soms moeite met de locatie omdat maps niet helemaal klopt, maar daar kan The Sun House niks aan doen. Het is simpel genoeg te vinden en daarna kan je chauffeurs instrueren welke afslag ze moeten hebben.

Pros:

Das Frühstück war insgesamt sehr gut, mit einer schönen Auswahl und frischen Produkten. Lediglich schade war, dass der Cappuccino separat berechnet wurde. Die Lage des Sun Houses ist oberhalb von Galle, bei schönem Wetter hatte man eine schönen Aussicht.

Cons:

Der Poolbereich war grundsätzlich angenehm, allerdings ist die Ausstattung bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Zudem gab es nur eine begrenzte Anzahl an Liegen, sodass nicht immer ausreichend Platz für alle Gäste vorhanden war.

Exceptional.
Pros:

The Location, staff, ambience and style of The Sun House will stay with me forever. We had some exceptional food, hospitality and drinks here. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Our only regret is that we weren't staying longer!

Superb hotel in a quiet location just 5 minutes tuk tuk ride from Galle Fort
Pros:

We stayed in the Queen room which was very clean and comfortable with a nice big bathroom area.
The property was once a colonial house and is utterly superb and serene even though quite close to the fort.
It was magical having a drink in the swimming pool area and watching the monkeys playing in the trees, an experience to remember.
Excellent breakfast and great staff all around.
Thank you for making our stay a memorable one.

Beautiful hotel in a serene location close to the Dutch Fort
Pros:

This was, without a doubt, the best hotel we stayed in during our tour of Sri Lanka. The location is great, away from the hustle and bustle of town but just a short walk away. The property is beautiful and very serene. We had a lovely surprise when we arrived as they upgraded us the the Dumas suite, which, I have to say, was truly outstanding. Huge room on high level with amazing close up views of the monkeys in the trees. Food and drinks at the hotel are excellent. You will definitely not be disappointed if you choose this hotel.

Pros:

A beautiful hotel, with gorgeous rooms. We were upgraded which was a lovely surprise. Breakfast was delicious with a choice of Western or Sri Lankan. Eating a la carte was a little pricey. The location was quiet and although outside of the Fort it felt very special.

Cons:

The walk to the Fort was a bit hot with lots of busy roads - but we could have taken a tuktuk.

Pros:

Stunning Colonial house in the hills above the town but only a five minute walk away. Super staff who were attentive and efficient. The Galleon Suite is absolutely gorgeous. Saw most of the hotels in Galle and wouldn't have wanted to move from The Sun House. A quiet oasis of calm from the very busy and touristy fort and town

Fantastic and we didn’t want to leave!
Pros:

The property is absolutely beautiful, relaxing atmosphere and plenty of seating areas. The staff were exceptional and couldn’t do enough for us. Of particular mention was Priyantha, but all of the staff were a credit to the hotel.

Cons:

Nothing! It was perfect.
