Hotel el descanso del Guia

Room was clean but had no spare plugs room 12, hotel is very basic. The breakfast is served between 7am and 8.30am. It's very noisy as on the main road and scooters and trucks are up and about at 6am and there is a cockerel next door that crows early too.

Hotel Manager has to go.

The hotel offered jacussy but the jacussy never was on. If We asked for it we need to wait two hours to be hot.
The "clean" towels smell like popcorn.
For me they give us dirty towels.

Beautiful and spacious family room. Good breakfast and the staff is courteous. I highly recommend this hotel.

This place promises things that it does not fulfill, it offered me round-trip transportation and when I sent them the email with my data to coordinate the shuttle, they simply told me that they were not going to do it, I asked for an answer, talking to the administrator, it was never possible, the place where the hotel is located is in the middle of nowhere. I attach photos so that what happened to me does not happen to them

I only leave a 4 star review because I stayed for 5 days and the breakfasts were boring. Every day they offered the same thing, eggs, toast, or pancakes, cereal and strawberry yogurt. They don’t have a restaurant in the hotel and everything is far away. After the second day I was bored with the breakfast and started buying croissants next door in the bodega to have it with my coffee. The bodega next door to the hotel sells water, beers, drinks and ice creams. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Just a thought maybe the manager could buy “fresh bread” from the bakery the bodega was charging .25 cents per bread it’s probably cheaper to buy in bulk. Also an omelette would be better than fried eggs every day!

The hotel and the room was clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very good. This hotel is not located in the town so you need to take a taxi to restaurant , shopping, and other activities

Spotlessly clean. Hairdryer in bathroom comfortable bed.
Breakfast was excellent. Nice swimming pool. Cab ride into town $2 or a half hour walk.

This propety is an amazing value. It is well maintained and in good condition. Breakfast is excellent and the host goes above and beyond to take great care. Compared to the properties in the city center. I recommend tbis strongly with no reservation.

Extremely comfortable beds and very nice staff! The room is well appointed and the ping pong table is a nice addition that we've enjoyed using. It is 2km from the beach so it's a 15min walk each way.. Which in the hot sun seems like a long time even if you are very fit. However it's much cheaper due to its location so it's great value for a long walk..

About a 20 minute walk from downtown, has a couple mini markets right next to it. Nice pool, morning breakfast and quiet rooms.

Great hotel for family to use as home base for land based Galapagos visit. The rooms are very clean and modern - comfortable beds and cleaning service each day.

Breakfast is provided and made fresh everyday which is nice if you are heading out on your.

Pool area is very well maintained and a nice amenity from the heat of the islands!

Staff very prompt and helpful.

It is a bit far from town and restaurants - not really walkable due to hills and heat) but taxis are very affordable ($2 each way). Some street noise but I think that is hard to avoid in the town.

Overall would recommend as a great option.
