Alila Fort Bishangarh Jaipur - A Hyatt Brand

This majestic fort hotel lies at a distance of about 90 minutes’ drive from Jaipur. It’s a ‘warrior fort’, unlike the pretty palaces that usually end up as heritage hotels. Over 250 years old and recently restored, Alila Fort Bishanarh is located on a hilltop. The walls are thick, the bastions obviously meant to deter invaders. The lowermost levels even have some of the bedrock showing through in places.

Private cars are not allowed up to the fort. You park at the foot of the hill, where a large expanse of land includes other parts of the property: the reception area, pool, organic farm, tents, villas, party spaces, and so on. From here, golf carts are available to ferry guests to and from the fort (though it’s actually not very far or very difficult to climb).

I had a suite on the 7th floor. The room was part of a corner bastion, with the bedroom in the circular bastion, the sitting area in the main body of the fort. A huge room, and a proportionately large bathroom (with shower stall, bathtub, two wash basins). All the amenities you would expect of a luxury hotel, including a very delectable array of in-house, freshly-made savoury and sweet snacks.

There is a spa, a restaurant (Amarsara), and an outdoor deck (Nazara) where there is a daily dinner buffet of local food accompanied by a folk music performance. Jeeps are available to take you on tours in the vicinity.

I really loved this place. It’s hugely atmospheric, and extremely comfortable. The staff are attentive and friendly. Overall, easily one of the best heritage hotels I’ve been to.

What stuns you when you reach the Alila Fort, Bishangarh, Jaipur is the hospitality and the warmth the staff exudes.
Location wise the fort is on the top of a hill so you don’t have city noises to disturb you. The infinity pool is clean and the area so serene it unwinds and relaxes infinitely!
The staff— specially Mr Avishek, Mr Shivraj the chef, Mr Hemant Kumar, Ms Anisha, Ms Prabhjot and the master in the bar Mr Kishan doing the bestest Picante.. have ensured the stay is super relaxed. Whenever you need a relaxing time come to Alila Fort Bishangarh and u will go back a changed human.

This hotel has great rooms and very supportive staff. Food quality is very good and activities especially dune bashing are very engaging. Hotel is unique in having a dedicated person for every room to whom you can reach out to for all your needs. This makes it super easy to navigate the property. Overall a fun and very relaxing experience.

We chose Alila Fort Bishangarh for our Anniversary staycation, and it was our one the best memorable experiences.

It is located 60km away from the jaipur city in bishangarh village and very easily accessible by road.

At the front desk, we were welcomed by Ms Prabhjot, who welcomed us so warmly and she was attentive throughout the stay over whatsapp or a call.

We stayed in a pool villa with jacuzzi and backyard and it has all the required amenities, complete privacy, neat and clean rooms, very peacefull and serene, overall everything was perfect.

We also did the morning hike with babulal ji yogi, he was incredibly calm and knowledgeable and very connected with the history and surroundings of that area.

We also booked a couple's Spa sesson and it was absolutely amazing, easily one of the best part of the stay. I unfortunately don't remember the therapists' names but they were exceptional.

Food was another amazing part of our experience, we dined at both their restaurents Nazaara the rooftop and Amarsar which serves all the cuisines. Also on the second night, we arrived quite late at Amarsar but the team still welcomed us and made sure we had a proper meal. That gesture meant a lot.
Special mention to Chef Rahul Singh Rathore and Restaurent supervisor Shovik.

Overall, we are truly overwhelmed with love, care and effort put in by the entire team of Alila Bishangarh.

Excellent Experience! Very well maintain Fort property. Great food in buffet as well as à la carte. Staff was very courteous and took care of us at every step be it restaurants, High Tea, Activities!

My wife and I recently spent two wonderful nights at Alila Fort Bishangarh, and the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The property itself is breathtaking, but what truly made our stay memorable was the exceptional hospitality of the team.

A special mention to Rahul Meena, who took care of all our dining experiences. From restaurant reservations and food recommendations to beverages and special requests, Rahul ensured that every meal was seamless and enjoyable. His attention to detail and willingness to help made a significant difference throughout our stay.

Sachin was another standout member of the team. He took the time to show us around the property, guided us on activities during the day and evening, and was always available whenever we needed assistance. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel incredibly welcome and looked after from start to finish.

I would also like to thank Anup, who impressed us with his extensive knowledge of the food and culinary offerings. He took the time to explain the dishes, ingredients, preparation methods, and recommendations, which added a wonderful personal touch to our dining experiences.

I have been to many luxury resorts/ hotels and i can say with utmost confidence that Alila’s hospitality is the best among all.

We were pampered throughout our stay. Prabhjot, our POC was so kind to arrange a very special dinner and a birthday cake for my wife. Souvik served us Alila’s artisanal ice creams on the house. Highly recommend their Rajasthani Food.

Dasrath ji took us offroading in the Aravali Hills, and he stopped multiples on our request to accommodate our photography before finally taking us to a beautiful sunset spot. We enjoyed the moment, a bit too long but he waited patiently.

Back at the property, Jairam ji gave us the complete tour. We got to see Alila’s organic farms, goat house. We even played with and fed lots of rabbits, my wife had a great time.

Though the breakfast has pretty everything you’d expect from a luxury property like Alila, i’d highly recommend their Muesli (their proprietary recipe) and Bishangarh Thala. Thanks to Deep and Chef Rahul for introducing us to these foods
We were so full at the table, but they refused to let us go without making us try their desserts, so they packed and sent it to our room so we could take it away with us. TOTALLY PAMPERED!!

The place offers so much that we have to now check in one more time to experience other things like pottery, tiger safari, etc.

Lastly, i requested Prabhjot to allow for a late checkout and she accommodated instantly.

Our recent stay at this stunning fort-style resort in the desert was really amazing. Traveling with both friends and family, we were looking for a place that offered relaxation, space, and memorable experiences—and this property delivered beautifully on all fronts. The setting itself is breathtaking, with expansive open areas that let you truly soak in the calm, earthy charm of the desert landscape. Despite its serene, tucked-away feel, the resort is conveniently located and easy to reach, which made the journey effortless.
What truly elevated the experience were the thoughtfully curated activities and the warmth of the staff. From trying our hand at archery to unwinding in the infinity pool overlooking the vast surroundings, every moment felt well spent. The simple joys like feeding rabbits and goats were especially delightful for the entire group. The high tea spread was exceptional, both in taste and presentation, and the evening folk singing performance during dinner on the fort’s sixth floor created a truly unforgettable ambiance under the open sky. The staff throughout were courteous, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile
That said, there are a few minor areas where improvements could enhance the overall experience. The recreational room, while promising, was not fully functional during our visit the lights and air conditioning were turned off, and amenities like the table tennis setup and playstations were not operational. With a bit more attention here, this space could become a fantastic addition to the resort’s offerings.

My second visit to Alila Fort Bishangarh was nothing short of exceptional. I came in with high expectations after my first stay, but this time they completely redefined hospitality and set new benchmarks in every aspect. From the seamless check-in experience to the impeccable room quality, every detail reflected excellence and genuine care.

The cleanliness, ambiance, food, comfort, and overall service standards were all elevated to another level. It’s rare to find a hotel that not only maintains consistency but continuously improves and surprises its guests.

Our experience of the Detoxifying Spa Treatment was supremely good. It was deeply relaxing and our bodies felt light after the massage. The therapists ensured we were comfortable every moment. We also loved the detoxifier (pre drink) and green tea (post drink).

We stayed for one night. They welcomed us very warmly and assigned a POC for all our requirements. The hospitality was really good.
