The room decoration was fantastic. The lobby and facilities were great. The breakfast was good value and had a wide variety of food. Chinese people seem to still smoke a lot so ask for a non smoking room!
The gym area was large and much appreciated.
The lobby was on the 55th floor and was a bit of a pain to return to everytime if you wanted to go down to the ground floor. The large window in the bathroom which had a curtain, if you had to use the bathroom at night time it was impossible to not disturb your partner when you turned the light on!
The room was really cold. You couldn't do anything to change the air con. It was the coldest hotel we stayed in. They did offer a seperate electric heater which can fix this. However the bathroom had underfloor heating which was nice.
There was a poorly designed shelf in the room above the kettle area which my wife hit her head on twice. It must be a problem because there's a big sticker on there saying watch your head!

Excellent service. They l work really hard to be excellent and they succeed. Not too much English which is typical of the area.

Staff was really nice, they handled our complaints with so much kindness and professionalism, they made the place. location is central.
You cannot go straight to your room from the entrance. You have to go to the lobby in 55th floor then take another elevator down. Extremely annoying and time consuming.
The beds are horrible. Very hard but with no support in the center so you end up sleeping V-shaped! We cut our reservation short cause our backs were killing us, we actually had to sleep sideways in our king bed to get any sleep at sll. This hotel is wss as y overpriced for what it offers, it’s just a place to show off. We moved to Kempinski
We really enjoy the staying at Sofitel. Only the drive way to the entrance is a little too narrow. Sometimes the car has to wait to get to the entrance.
I have to take three different elevators from guest room to parking lot.

A very nice hotel. We had a pleasant and peaceful stay for 3 days. The hotel is clean and modern with good amenities and conveniently located on top of a large shopping mall and at a location where it is quite easy to get a taxi. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would have given the place a higher rating except that I had prearranged to pay for our stay in local currency. Instead the hotel charged our stay to our credit card used for deposit at the time of check-in, causing some confusion.
All the staffs are very pleasant. Good room size and the beds are very comfortable. Nice view.

The hotel is very nice and in one of the highest building in Guiyang. Location is also very good. The service is good and nothing negative at all.
