The beds were comfortable.
Couldn’t walk down to the lake. No trespassing sign. Lakeview but no access. I would have loved to walk down on the pier.
The vibe was amazing, the service was so very good, the room was completely clean top to bottom, the wifi was popping, I absolutely enjoyed myself!

There aren't a lot of properties in this area to choose from, this may have been the best option. The beds were comfortable enough, there was good water pressure and the air conditioner was nice and cold.
Reviews (and the property name) led me to believe it was a lakefront property. It is not. There is a boat ramp to the lake, but that's basically a driveway into the water - not a place to sit out on the lake. There is a property between this one and the lake, and it is fenced off so there is no access to the lake itself.
The check in process was a little odd. There was a number posted to call Ted; we called twice and got voice mail both times. I then texted and Ted said he'd be right there. His wife came to the office and business was conducted through a window. That's the only time we saw the owners or any staff. We were in the area specifically to see the night sky. When I mentioned this on check in, asking if there was a way to go out to the lake to have a clear view, she told me that wasn't necessary, to just sit at the picnic tables and look up. The parking lot is so well lit that looking up to see the stars was impossible. For our purposes, the stay was disappointing. For someone with a boat looking for a clean place to stay and get on the water with the boat, it's probably just fine.
Very good location in regards to our plans.
Our stay was good with the exception of not being able to contact the hosts when needed. We had a "scare" (2 women alone) and could not get a response from the owners on the phone. All we needed to feel comfortable was what they texted us the next morning. But that was 10 hours after our call. I know people need their free time but when you own a business like a motel and you're it for staff, that's life.That being said the room was good. It was even cleaned the next morning for our second night which doesn't happen these days. However we did leave the second day instead of spending another night.

There was only 1 mirror and it was small and in the bathroom. The beds were very very firm.
It was very nice for the area, but we had issues with the shower, the cold water wouldn’t work at all and the hot water was scalding hot. Other than that, it’s a very nice place with nice owners.

We had an excellent stay! Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. I loved the room itself it was very comfortable and I loved the decor . Will definitely be back
Was really clean but kind of old and well off the beatin past
I chose to stay at Driftwood last year and had such a good experience that I decided to stay again and I was not disappointed.
The staff was super friendly and accommodating. My room was clean and had everything I needed. The restroom and shower was clean and well maintained. The A/C worked great. The parking area was clean and well lit.
Everything was great and I would definitely consider Driftwood again for another stay in the future.
Staff was extremely accommodating for our late check-in. Room was very clean and the water pressure was amazing. Would definitely stay there again.
