Absolute gem. True hospitality and great attention to detail. The hotel is walking distance to some excellent restaurants but enough off the beaten path to be quiet and serene. This place is everything you want from a boutique hotel.

We've stayed in CHS close to a dozen times due to our student attending CoC. We thought we had the "it" hotel until now. We stayed a little closer to her new home and are so glad we did. Our room was perfect for what we needed. It's a quieter area being off King and not in the middle of the hustle. Great restaurants, bakeries, and coffees within blocks.

We absolutely loved our stay! The property has the perfect combination of historic Charleston charm and a beautiful modern feel. It’s very private, quiet, and incredibly romantic — a great place for a couples getaway.

The pool was one of our favorite parts. It feels secluded and relaxing, and the entire property has an intimate, upscale atmosphere. The location was also perfect for enjoying Charleston while still having a peaceful place to come back to.

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely come back. If you’re looking for something romantic, private, historic, and a little different from a typical hotel, this place is hard to beat!

I stayed at 86 Cannon in July 2026 and loved every single second. The property is absolutely beautiful, spotless, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better, and the hospitality really stood out. Grace and Evangeline were fantastic! Friendly, welcoming, and full of great recommendations. They made the whole experience feel personal in the best way.

My room (Room 5 on the top level) was cozy, impeccably clean, and gorgeously decorated, a real retreat and oasis. The entire property was very peaceful and quiet the entire time, very zen. The common spaces, especially the porches, were so inviting and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious, the little happy hour was a great touch, and even though I didn’t use them, the complimentary bikes seemed like a great perk.

Everything about this stay felt intentional and elevated. I’d go back again in a heartbeat and recommend 86 Cannon to anyone looking for a beautiful, warm, and memorable place to stay in Charleston.

Our stay to 86 Cannon Charleston hotel has been the best experience in Charleston so far. Everything was perfect, the exquisite room with southern charm, directly on a beautiful veranda, excellent wine and cheese and breakfast included. Staff extremely attentive. A lot of attention to details. A very relaxing time, will definitely come back !!

Tge location was central to good food and shopping, the hotel grounds were immaculate, the pool quaint and stunning, and the bungalow suite was gorgeous and elegant.

My husband and I absolutely loved 86 Cannon! Everything about the inn oozed understated luxury, and the attention to detail was unmatched! The guest rooms were refreshing and nice, and the pool was just perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast each morning. Owners Marion and Lori have done an outstanding job, and their staff is phenomenal! We will certainly return!

This is a fantastic inn. I would highly recommend. Great rooms, excellent service by staff, lovely pool area and grounds, and in a quaint area of Charleston. Next time you are in Charleston I would recommend you give it a try.

86 Cannon is absolutely spectacular. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated from the incredibly comfortable sheets to the dimmable lighting throughout the property and the luxurious body wash. The atmosphere is peaceful, quiet, and incredibly relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind.

The housekeeping team is exceptional, and the customer service is truly second to none. This isn’t just a place to stay, it’s a top-tier experience. The property is charming, and it’s the little touches that make it feel so special.

The location is another huge bonus. It’s within easy walking distance of King Street and many of Charleston’s best restaurants, making it the perfect home base for exploring the city.

I would wholeheartedly recommend 86 Cannon to anyone I know and love. It’s an experience I’ll be thinking about long after my stay and I’ll always go back when I come to Charleston.

What an absolute gem! So glad we landed here to stay. All of the little details blew us away. From the texts we received confirming our arrival time, to having our room ready early, to all the amenities the property had to offer. We really enjoyed how clean and comfortable everything was, and it felt incredibly private.

The property itself was beautiful. The pool was super relaxing, the perfect temperature, and not crowded whatsoever. The included cheese hour and breakfast were both super enjoyable.

Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing, luxury stay in Charleston!

86 Cannon exceeded our expectations and was an excellent choice for our 4 day romantic getaway to Charleston. The place was immaculate and every detail was thoughtful. We loved the breakfast and found it tasty and convenient, with the bonus of sitting on the porch each morning. We made great use of the bikes to bike for hours all around the city. It was such a lovely perk! The pool was beyond gorgeous. The pictures are exactly what it looks like! The saltwater was super comfortable and we loved lounging at the pool. It was quiet and walkable- we didn’t rent a car.

What a gem! We were so thrilled with this petite and historic spot- absolutely perfect for a romantic weekend away. Every detail was charming, from the decor to the breakfast room to the tiny but fabulous pool. We’ll be back.
