Our stay at 86 Cannon was absolutely delightful from start to finish! Beautifully styled, so comfortable, fantastic service, loved the honor bars located in several places and the house-made breakfast goodies including yogurt … next time I’ll be bringing a swim suit to dip in the heated or cooled pool depending on the season … the owners and staff are so knowledgeable and make everything easy as pie. Gorgeous porches to enjoy the Lowcountry lifestyle. Perfection!

My wife and I took a delayed anniversary trip to Charleston, SC in late October/early November. 86 Cannon had been recommended to us, and having never been to Charleston, we gladly accepted the recommendation. Upon arrival we were offered champagne by Alana and Evangaline, who greeted us warmly. The property is a beautifully restored classic Charleston home near many of the attractions and restaurants in the downtown district. The evening wine and cheese made for an enjoyable pre-dinner treat. Our room was a comfortable restored attic room (room 5). Though the weather was cool, we did utilize the great heated pool and pool amenities. We also took advantage of the complimentary bikes to ride around downtown and visit many of the historic neighborhoods. Overall we were very pleased with our stay at 86 Cannon. Highly recommended if you are looking for accommodations in the downtown area.

Easily a favorite place to stay in Charleston for character, charm and a luxe experience in a pretty neighborhood!!!! Won’t go back to the bigger hotels after staying here! The staff is so accommodating, the beds are like clouds, each room has its own historic vibe with a fresh twist and the pool area is lovely. The neighborhood boasts some of Charleston’s top restaurants as well! A 10/10!!!

86 Canon is a true gem. High class experience all the way around. Beautifully designed rooms and impeccable grounds. There is a light breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese included. The character is modern historic, with all the modern appointments in a classically historic set of buildings. The staff is delightful, attentive but not in your face. Lovely experience all the way around

Beautiful boutique hotel with delicious breakfasts in the morning and wine and local cheeses in the evening. Excellently trained staff. Made full use of their bikes as we biked and walked to surrounding areas.

My husband & I visited 86 Cannon for our anniversary trip and it was nothing short of amazing. The property is so cute & walkable to a lot of different restaurants & they also provide bikes you can take out as well.
The property has 10 rooms and they hosted a wine & cheese tasting every night so it was fun to meet the other couples staying in the property and chat with them. Overall the atmosphere was very warm and inviting, from both the staff and other guests!
Our room was gorgeous! We ended up getting upgraded to the room overlooking the pool and it was so cute and everything was so clean! Everything about our experience was 10/10 & I I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a romantic weekend getaway in Charleston!

Great stay-loved our garden suite and the attention to detail everywhere is amazing. The pool is just beautiful and the breakfast and cheese board and wine in the evenings were super nice as well.

86 Cannon was the highlight of our trip to Charleston. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The property grounds are picturesque. We loved the European style breakfast and afternoon wine & cheese pairing on the piazza. Spent each afternoon lounging by the incredible pool. Great location! We were able to walk / ride the Linus bicycles all throughout the city. Perfect spot for our romantic getaway.

Amazing! Best experience in Charleston. The plush bedding. The relaxing secluded pool. The morning coffee or sunset wine and cheese hour on their patio. Everything was perfect.

Since we live in the area, we often enjoy staycations downtown and have stayed at all the top hotels — but this experience easily tops them all.”

Words cannot express what a wonderful experience it was staying at 86 Cannon. First being greeted by the lovely Alana who explained all the amenities that 86 Cannon had to offer: a European breakfast every morning, a cheese and wine get-together everyday at 5pm, bicycles to ride around Charleston and best of all a salt water pool. We stayed in the Garden Suite. It was so beautifully decorated. Everything is very light and airy. The bed was unbelievable. We told the owner, Laurie that we wanted to pack it up in our suitcase and take it home! There is a large patio right outside our door with several sitting arrangements and soft jazz playing in the background. I sat out there many mornings before heading up for breakfast. We also meet Lizzy, a transplant from Illinois, who worked at the front desk. My husband and I enjoyed many conversations with her while enjoying the wine and cheese at 5. We were given great recommendations for places to eat and drink. We also meet Evangelina, who also works the front desk on our last night at the wine and cheese get together. Again, we enjoyed wonderful conversations with her. I complemented the owner Laurie on the wonderful job she did hiring these third lovely young ladies. We cannot wait to go back.

The perfect place to stay if your visiting Charleston

A Beautiful place to stay. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about local activities. Every thing was super clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay again.

86 Cannon is my favorite boutique hotel in Charleston. The design, comfort and service are excellent. The new pool tucked into a quiet oasis at the back of the property is peaceful and restorative after a day in the city. Bikes, breakfast, happy hour wine and cheese, comfy beds -- all are so well done. Add to that the gracious, thoughtful service ... I return again and again.

My wife and I stayed at 86 Cannon for an extended weekend to celebrate our 20th anniversary. It was absolutely spectacular, from the perfectly appointed rooms and amenities, to the beautifully serene courtyard infinity pool, to the amazing staff (shout out to Lizzie!). It is easily walkable to all the attractions on King Street but in a beautifully quaint neighborhood away from all the activjty. It was absolutely perfect! We cannot wait to come back.
