Casa del Mar Tulum

THIS WAS A MEDIOCRE STAY. OVERALL IT WAS OK, BUT THERE WERE SOME DIFFICULTIES. LET ME GIVE THE CONS FIRST: INITIAL TRANSACTION WAS AKWARD. THE OWNER DEMANDED CASH. NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE. THERE IS A FULLTIME STAFF NOW, BUT HER ENGLISH IS POOR AND SHE IS INEXPERIENCED. THE PLACE IS HARD TO FIND YOU MAY WANT TO CONTACT THE OWNER. IT IS LOCATED OFF OF SEVENTH ST. (THE LANDMARK IS THREE STORES NEXT TO EACH OTHER MAKE A RIGHT BEFORE THEM)..THERE CAN BE LOUD MUSIC AND BARKING DOGS THAT DISTURB THE PEACE... FINALLY THE GOOD STUFF. We had a wonderful stay! We would definitely choose this property for our next vacation. Luis was extremely accommodating and offered tips and recommendations for where to eat and places to visit. The rooms were cleaned every morning with fresh towels provided. We also enjoyed that the location was away from the hustle and bustle of the main road while still being extremely convenient and about a 5 minute car ride to some of our favorite places. We strongly recommend considering Casa Del Mar for your next vacation!

My stay at Casa del Mar Tulum has been fantastic - my room was wonderful, very specious, clean and modern, with a little kitchenette and living space that have made my stay a home outside home.
The whole condominio is very well preserved and the pool is very handy for an early morning or evening swim. Brenda & Luis are also lovely and very useful, will provide you with tips and info for local adventures.
The location is about 45 min bike ride each way to the beach so more convenient to rent a car if you decide to stay in town and plan for a proper beach holiday. For the rest, I've loved staying at Casa del Mar, truly recommend this place!

Loved the apartment and the pool which was always very clean and neat and private. Nice sitting area on the patio. The location is a bit removed but there is a nice parking area and bike rentals near. Highly recommend it!

It was nice and simple and Luis was very helpful and accommodating. It is quite far from the beach and it would sometimes take us 30 minutes to get there.

Super well kept place. Powerful hot showers and plenty of hot water.. Internet fast enough to stream TV. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Tulum to make it a quiet, tranquil place. Good bed. For the price you won't beat it. I would stay there again.

So grateful to have found casa del mar. Luis and christina are wonderful hosts. I had some series of inconveniences throughout my teip and Luis was very attentive to all of our questions and gave us always prompt solutions to ensure we had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful and peaceful and very conveniently located. I lokk forward to come back again to Casa del Mar in the near future. AMAZING!!!

Casa del Mar Tulum was an absolute OASIS!! During our stay, my husband and I felt so relaxed and rested. The cottage was clean and safely secured, which made me feel more comfortable. The kitchenette also gave us an option to stay in and cook if we were out all day. The grocery store is down the street, as well as delicious restaurants. The beds are comfy, and an additional plus is AC! Another great experience is sitting outside and hearing the trees sway and birds chirp. Luis and Christine are great hosts and they make sure that you are prepared with information that will make your visit less stressful. We will be back :)

We booked 2 rooms, one with 1 king bed and another one with 2 queen beds. We only stayed for 1 night so we didn't get to enjoy the pool. Room was modern & spacious, fairly clean but we did find sand in the futon & some dirt around the doors. Amenities is a bit too simple, would appreciate a TV, extra blankets or pillows. We also felt like the big studio with the kitchenette should have been the one with 2 queen beds instead of the other way around. Location was great in a very quiet neighborhood close to restaurants. Owner was very nice.

Casa del Mar is a fantastic getaway in Tulum. Very private, clean and comfortable,the ease of home. Very close to the Main Street and easy to get around. Well designed and thoughtful layout with only 4 suites- you have much privacy. The team and owners are very friendly, professional and super helpful. We were in frequent contact with the owners who were quick to respond and help with any of our needs.
Will definitely look to stay here again and any other property run by the owners!

Stayed there for 1 night. Wish we could stay longer. There are not many stuff near hotel, but there are few cafe and bar in walking distance. But if you wanna go to main road, taking taxi is better.
This hotel has only 4 rooms. When we stay there there are only one other guest. So we could stay swimming pool like our private pool.
It was cute, clean and great for relaxing.
We bought drinks at store and chilled by the pool.
We arrived there 2-3hrs prior to check in time, but they let us in.

Delightful oasis of calm, great place to relax, quiet and peaceful. Loved listening to the birds while sitting by the pool. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and loads of space. Thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

Great stay at this hotel. The hotel is beautiful, clean, very well designed. The internet worked well and the room was very spacious and had all you need for example a fridge, safety box, ceiling fan, ac. It does not have tv but I didn't need it.
The pool was a good addition and may need some water treatment but I didn't mind. It was great waking up and listening to the birds around.
Hotel is not do close to the entertainment area and sits in a quiet street. You will need a car or bike or walk. The walking would take you a good 15 mins at least to get to the restaurants. Also, parking at the hotel is limited so you may need to park on the street if full.

It was way cheaper to stay here than on the beach. It was walking distance to lots of things in town, and the room was very big and really nice.

Room is very comfortable and clean. I had an enjoyable stay.

Luis and his wife were extremely friendly and helpful. Had an amazing stay in their beautiful Hotel. The rooms were impeccable, and the hotel was peaceful and extremely pleasant to stay at. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

We just returned from a wonderful six night stay in the studio room. Everything was good quality, comfy bed, equipped kitchen, speedy WIFI and spacious throughout. Nice having 3 ceiling fans as well as the AC so you had the option not to use Air Con if you prefer. Loved the pool right outside our door and with only 4 units in the secure complex, we mostly had it to ourselves. Luis and Christine provided great pre-arrival information and friendly assistance. We would certainly stay there again and can recommend.

First of all Tulum is amazing! You must go! Our stay at Casa Del Mar was perfect. It's only a 7 minute walk to the start of the Main Street in Tulum Town so you are close but in the side streets so it's quiet. This House is the perfect stay while in Tulum Town. Luis is very helpful if you have any questions and super friendly. We felt like we hade the entire property to ourselves. Having a pool is nice to wake up to and chill in the evenings. I definitely recommend staying here.
No issues like some other places I read about. Perfect wifi, quiet ,electricity 24 hrs and AC. Perfectly clean and even has daily housekeeping.
