The Dunes Hotel is a prestigious hotel based in the South Lakes, with stunning countryside views, dog-friendly rooms with unique decor and lavish inside and outside dining areas. Suited to family holidays, couples retreats, business travel, weddings and corporate events.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and the food was amazing . Staff was very friendly and polite .
Pros:

My stay was a birthday gift for complete relaxation and that’s exactly what I got..,, perfect
Pros:

It’s was just an all round great hotel, it had everything you need and more, staff were great food amazing room immaculate, nothing was too much trouble for the staff

Exceeded my expectations and will be a go to stay when I am there on business again.
Pros:

Staff excellent, very friendly. Food really good, good all round atmosphere.

Cons:

Location a bit remote, however I knew this before booking so wasn't a problem to me. May be to some though.

Staff friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was good. Family rooms were available.

Cons:

No potable water in the rooms. They supplied free bottles of water, but this would've been a deal breaker for us had we known in advance.

The mattresses were really firm and I did not find them to be comfortable.

It was hard to find- especially in the dark. Google navigation was not reliable in this part of the country. We turned into an access road for a landfill where it was really difficult to turn back around.

Ok but bed very uncomfortable.
Pros:

Lovely setting and the staff were excellent

Cons:

Stayed in a delux double. Only issue was mattress. I could feel all the springs and did not have much sleep as so uncomfortable

Friendly bar staff quiet and clean room
Pros:

2 girls on the bar were extremely good at their job.. both very nice and helpful

Cons:

Had no hairdryer in the room.. but guy on reception was helpful and gave me a hairdryer.. but .. it was very noisy.. had to turn it down and all I got was heat .. but it cut out overheated..

It was ok
Pros:

Lovely spacious and beautiful views

Cons:

With it sitting right next to a farm it stunk of manure really strongly and the hotel was freezing there was no heaters on in the building so was really cold during the night beds are extremely hard but other than that it was ok

Loved it
Pros:

Staff are so helpful and friendly especially Gareth. Our 3rd visit here and always enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the restaurant very nice too .
