This was a very nice hotel and we enjoyed it.
Pros:

The location was great and easy to walk around town. We were there for a family reunion in Callaway, so we left early and came back late. The chairs were nice to sit in, relax, and have coffee. The hotel was in good condition, and I wish we could have stayed in the town longer and tried your restaurant.

Cons:

The bathroom door needs to be oiled. It squeaked each time it was opened and closed. The bed was a little harder than I like, but my husband liked it. We do not care for the Folgers coffee. Coffee from Costco is good.

Extremely poor customer service, no AC

Cons:

Booked room for 2 nights. Air conditioning did not work. Checked in and turned on AC. Returned several hours later, and the room was still 75⁰.
We called down to complain and the desk clerk said they knew our floor was having trouble with the AC. They didn't even have a fan available for us to use. Room only had 3 large towels, so we asked for more. We also asked for clean bedding after the first night. Got back to our room and the bed was made, bedding was not clean. And our dirty towels were still on the bathroom floor and no clean towels. We also had asked for clean bedding and extra towels not once, but twice. And both times we spoke to the same desk clerk. We checked out early and asked for a discount, but the desk clerk said because we booked the room through booking.com, no discount could be given. I'll never stay there again.

There was nothing magical or good about this property. We stayed in the old section because we were told it was booked through 3rd part ( booking.com) and could not be changed. We were handed keys that looked like they were made when the hotel was built.

Fantastic place, exceptional price
Pros:

EVERYTHING! This place was amazing! I loved everything about it! The location, the staff, the decor, our room, it was just a really neat place! Jordan checked us in with no problems. She was exceptionally nice, explained the layout of hotel and what all was going on. Our room was like a small apartment! Living room, kitchen, bedroom was separate. VERY NICE! I loved the decor of the whole place. I can see why it is on the national historical registry. The restaurant in the hotel was good. I loved the food, the staff was friendly. It was in a great location too.

Clean, comfortable, large rooms with great food, drinks & breakfast, at a great price.
Pros:

We love this hotel and we stay here every time we travel thru Nebraska. We especially love staying in the rooms in the original hotel because they are large apartments that have complete kitchens with full-size appliances, dining rooms, living rooms and separate bedrooms/baths. They are clean, comfortable and quiet. The restaurant and pub are on-site and have wonderful food and drinks. And the complimentary breakfast buffet is delicious and plentiful. This hotel is a great value at a great price., normally the best in town!

Bed was good but ac was not good.
