It was a great location, clean with beautiful views and lovely staff

Cons:

Their water heating system was undergoing maintenance for the first 3 days of my stay. They offered an alternative but that would have taken longer

Uncaring - Terrible Guest Experience
Pros:

Giving 2 stars because I keep having issues in spite of being a long staying guest ..wrong name on my room booking (so what was the point of photocopying my passport) which gave me billing issues, they gave me a room next to the lift in spite of asking for a quieter place from the onset with lukewarm shower water, deactivated key card and yet my stay is for 11 days...and they're nonchalant ...I should say downright uncaring in spite of me giving feedback 😒

I am still at the hotel wondering what other problems await me. The great views and food cannot compensate for poor service 😤

A centrally located hotel with a great city view
Pros:

Ubumwe is located in a very walkable and central location in Kigali. I walked 5 minutes to a favorite coffee shop along a street lined with small shops and just 7 minutes to Kigali City Market. It is located just a 10 minute drive from most things in Kigali city, including the Genocide Memorial, and a 25 minute drive to Kimironko Market. My room had a great view of the city. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and met all of my needs. The breakfast staff were accommodating and warm.

Pros:

Prompt response and service, friendly professional staff. Even though I stayed in the hotel for only 1night, I was there the whole week for a training course.

Cons:

Not having someone/staff to help with my luggage on arrival and departure. The lady who attended to me at the reception had to leave her duty post at the reception to help me.
