First the good … really good location in the heart of the city, though the area got a bit crazy during our visit due to the World Cup. But in general convenient location. And people were friendly, but that seems true almost everywhere in this amazing country.

The rooms were too small … I get downtown hotel vibe but this was a bit much, with not even a built in closet (they had a strange bureau with curtains!). Also, seems place is not managed too well, even had some towels that were torn/had holes.

And the craziest part … the corridors had no light. Could not even see the door lock of my second floor room if we came in after sunset. And if this was temporary, someone should have warned us when we checked in.

All of that, plus not much care for Marriott status, gives this hotel just 2 stars.

I love the architecture and design. The room very comfortable and everything very clean. I loved the rooftop with the a very clean small pool. The staff super polite, professional and very helpful. I absolutely love the free bikes too! Oh and the location is great!

Location, location, location. Cool old bank building. Get a ride in the old lift when you are there. Gorgeous and comfortable room. Pool is lush and cleaned daily.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel a few days ago and it was an awesome experience. It’s a smaller place, but it has such a cool vibe.
The entire staff was super attentive, and the food was delicious. A special shout-out to Denis at the bar—she was so warm and kind. Hope your knee is feeling better!
We’ll definitely be coming back.

This hotel was a 5/5 until I checked out. That's when the problems started and they have yet to be resolved three months later. I had to check out a couple of days early and the hotel decided to penalize me an extra night which they didn't tell me about during checkout. Then they RETROACTIVELY INCREASED THE RATES on nights I had already completed. They were quite rude when I checked out early and wanted to know the reasons why but in a pushy and rude manner. Rather than asking me if everything was ok with the hotel, they wanted to know my personal reasons for having to leave early. The reasons had nothing to do with the hotel and the reasons were job-related.

My position is simple.

1) I will always abide by what is stated in the contract of lodging. But there is no mention of penalties. When I asked for their list of lodging conditions, they refused to provide one.
2) They RETROACTIVELY changed the room rates. This is, in my view, illegal and in its basic from, constitutes theft. I trusted that the hotel would honor the rates of prior nights but they didn't. I have never, in 40 years of travel, had a hotel try to change the rates for completed nights.

This is a beautiful, historic hotel that is peaceful and quite. I loved the terrace on the roof - what a perfect place for breakfast or drinks. It's well located and the staff were very kind.

Sehr schönes, altes Haus, das sehr schon als Hotel adaptiert wurde. Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Sehr flexibel beim Auschecken und Lagerung des Gepäcks bis Abflug. Die Dach-Terrasse ist sehr schön. Von da aus kann man auch die große Mex. Flagge auf dem Hauptplatz sehen und bei Getränken abhängen. Sprich die Lage ist sehr gut und zentral. Friseur und gutes Kaffee unten im Hotel.
