We have stayed at Mondrian Doha before and previously had a very positive experience with the hotel and its service. We are also frequent guests at hotels in Doha and internationally, so we are familiar with the level of professionalism and respect expected from a hotel of this standard.

Unfortunately, this stay was by far one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had, mainly because of the unacceptable behavior of the supervisor, Anas.

His manner of speaking to us was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Most seriously, he repeatedly accused us of having gone to the restaurant, eaten breakfast, and left without paying. This accusation was completely false. Our room reservation did not even include breakfast, and we had not gone to the restaurant for breakfast at all.

Because of how seriously he presented this accusation, I personally went to the restaurant to verify what had happened. It was then confirmed that what he had accused us of was not true. Being falsely accused of eating at a restaurant and leaving without paying is extremely insulting and embarrassing. A guest should never be treated as though they have done something dishonest without first verifying the facts.

What made the situation even worse was his overall attitude toward us. We felt that he took advantage of the fact that we were a group of young women staying at the hotel and believed he could speak to us and treat us in an unacceptable manner. His behavior made us feel disrespected and extremely uncomfortable throughout our stay.

We were also informed by more than one person that this type of behavior is not limited to guests and that he has behaved poorly toward colleagues as well. If this is the case, then this raises even more serious concerns about his conduct as a supervisor.

This experience has completely changed our impression of Mondrian Doha. We came back because of our previous positive experiences, but this was unfortunately the worst night and the worst treatment

Pros:

Had the absolute BEST time ever at the Mondrian Doha! Everyone was soo kind, friendly & welcoming from the moment I set foot onto the property. Check-in was a breeze & they made sure all my needs were met. The room is gorgeous, very spacious, comfy & a stunning view to go with it all. They surprised me with balloons & a cake since it was my birthday & I extended my staycation cause one day was just not enough! Restaurants are amazing & Lagoona mall is just a 3 mn walk away. Special thanks to lovely Ranjita & Yasmine. Also EVERYONE who made me feel welcomed & loved 💗 BEST HOTEL IN QATAR HANDS DOWN ✨🫶🏻 Can’t wait to come back soon!!

The perfect place for me
Pros:
