Pros:

Very comfportable bed & linin. Reasonable size room for a couple. Clean & tidy.Excelent cafe with good short eats (Finger Food)..Good standard of choice given for breakfast ( local & continental).

Cons:

Bathroom may need mordenising & water pressure a bit weak.

Charming hotel
Pros:

Beautiful colonial style hotel in Colombo. Rooms were well equipped and clean, staff very polite and helpful, and the attached restaurant lunch buffet (2500lkr) and bar are both great.

Cons:

A lot of road noise if you are in a road-facing room - not really the fault of the hotel and more the bus drivers who are honking all of the time.

The windows in the rooms cannot be opened. Some of them face a wall that is only about 10 cm away, while in other rooms they face the street. In any case, both the rooms and the hallway feel quite stuffy because the windows cannot be opened

Very convenient location, close to Galle Face and all other tourist places. Rooms are well maintained.

Cons:

Staff was rude. Rooms are small and little congested. The most important issue was unavailability of hot water in the morning. They couldn't provide even after repeated calls.

Not a good value for money

Cons:

It is really not a good value for money hotel. It is very expensive for the room and service that you get. No soundproofing at all in the room. I couldn't sleep well because my room was oriented to the main street with a lot of traffic. And the balcony door has holes, you can't even close it so you can hear the noises from outside like you were there. So bad to have a good night of sleep!
I had also a a water leak at the sink
There is mold in the shower
