This hotel is situated at an amazing location. One will surely fall in love with it.
The location of the hotel is amazing - you can see Punakha dzong, rivers and entire city!The property was also amazing, clean and very well staffed. restaurant had great options for food. The only inconvenience we had was that property is on a hill and doesn't have elevators or golf-cart so for my Mom climbing stairs up and down to go from room to reception, restaurant etc was very inconvenient. Also, not their fault, but their was power outage several times in one day. They should get power backup!
After paying the full amount my resort transferred me to another resort at the last moment without statisfactory explanation. Bad service
It was a bit difficult to locate the hotel and part of the approach road was a dirt track. Once we reached the parking lot and got an awesome view of the rivers and the dzong, we completely forgot about the difficulties. Rooms were well appointed and had nice balconies. The hotel had a big dinning area but there was no hot water available in wash rooms attached to it. Food was good. Check in and check out was also very smooth.
Zingkham was the best hotel experience in my 15 days Bhutan trip. The view of Punakha Dzong from the room balcony was a beautiful sight. The restaurant served a fantastic breakfast and we ate a delicious ala carte lunch and dinner. The warm and welcoming staff deserve a special mention. Room and room facilities are fantastic will certainly stay again at same property for a longer time on my next visit.
