Het bed is heerlijk zacht, heel fijn geslapen.
Het personeel is vriendelijk en helpt je graag.
Er zitten geen ramen die open kunnen in de hotelkamer, wij houden wel van frisse lucht van buiten. Dat was dus jammer.

The location was very good for meetings and events in the City, the hotel entry and communal areas are feeling a little dated but the rooms exceeded expectations. Staff were all lovely and very helpful. I didn't use any of the facilities as I was out most of my stay but I would stay again.

I stayed at Leonardo Hotel Aldgate while preparing for the London Marathon, and unfortunately my experience was far below expectations.
On arrival, it was immediately clear that the bathroom had not been properly cleaned. There were visible faeces left on the toilet seat, which is completely unacceptable under any circumstances. A staff member was sent to clean it and did apologise, but explained they had “been busy,” which is not an acceptable reason for such a serious hygiene failure.
In addition, the shower in my room was blocked and flooded the bathroom when used. Although this was eventually addressed, the response from staff felt dismissive, as if the issue was being shrugged off rather than taken seriously.
I was also told ahead of my stay that my room had been upgraded, but upon arrival it was the same room type I originally booked. While I didn’t raise this at the time, it added to the overall sense of poor communication and unmet expectations.
Following my complaint, I was offered an 18% refund, which I do not feel reflects the severity of the issues—particularly the hygiene concerns.
I have previously stayed at this property when it operated as Hotel Saint, and the standard was significantly higher. Sadly, under the Leonardo brand, it feels like basic cleanliness and guest experience are no longer being prioritised.
Overall, this was a very disappointing stay, especially given the importance of the trip.

Die Reinigung der WC Anlagen war Katastrophal. Von 3 Aufzügen hat nur 1 funktioniert, was zu sehr langen Wartezeiten geführt hat!
The basics are solid: comfortable bed, clean environment, good shower. Excellent position.
Two out of three lifts were out of order, long wait time and unnecessary crowding. Room cleaning must be called explicitly: if you leave in a rush in the morning and forget, you come back to an untidy room. The included breakfast is not a good deal: four dishes to choose from and only filter coffee or tea are included. Our Superior King room did not have a second bedside table (unlike the one in the picture).
