I love the front yard and good for family

The hotel is in oku nikko which surrounded by nature.
If you love nature or snow in winter. This is a perfect place to stay.

Outside Onsen also surrounded by snow but unfortunately we cannot see the star that day.

The following three points are good points that we chose this hotel.

1. Another place was extremely hot, but was this resort that we could feel to be cool enough.
This hotel is an inn on a plateau that sits quietly in the forest of Okunikko. The trees along the road from Route 120 to the hotel are very beautiful.
From such a location, we feel the cool than the temperature difference with the base by the altitude.

2. This hot spring is the emerald green opaque hot water, which is rare in Japan.
I uploaded a photo of this hot spring. Please have a look.

3. The staff at this hotel gave us proper advice on hiking in Oku Nikko.
The purpose of our trip was a hike to Lake Karikomi, Lake Kirikomi and Karenuma Marsh.
We consulted with the hotel staff about this hike.
He recommended a course that starts from Yumoto Onsen and descends to Kotoku (Nikko Astraea Hotel). When he advised us, he explicitly said that the course of climbing Sanno Pass from the Kotoku side was not recommended.
This Advise was very much thanks . Also, for this course, he concretely taught us that there is a strong climb in the second half from Hinuma to Sanno Pass.
This hotel is a large resort hotel. However, the staff, like the owner of the mountain hut, gave very accurate advice. We sincerely thank them.

Nice location, brilliant nature view, amazing hot springs!

This hotel is famous as luxurious western style hotel in Oku Nikko area. The hotel is so famous that public bus stops in front of the hotel. The hotel has cross-country skiing courses.
It was first time for me to visit the hotel. The hot spring bath was good.
However, I was disapointted at the restaurant. The table cloth and tableware were not cleaned well though the facility was luxurious mode. The staffs were not professional.They did not serve us until we requested small things one by one. And the way of serving Japanese dish was wrong.

have xc ski facility, onsen is very good, spacious room.. but these should be expected when you pay that much

餐廳食物精緻度可以再提升一些，冷食居多。

房務人員的專業度也需再教育；6pm泡湯回房在換衣服，房務人員敲門說要sleep room，先生告知他六點半會下樓晚餐，到時候再過來，對方竟然說No！接著馬上衝進來 ==‘’，我只好趕緊躲到拉門後一間。

飯店後面有個小雪場，帶小孩同樂很方便！
飯店門口即有巴士可以搭乘，便利性大增。

電話対応が悪すぎる。
何を言っても「え？え？」としか返ってこないし会話にならない。
そんなに複雑なことを言っているわけでもないのに何度も丁寧に説明しないといけない。
こちらがリードして確認しないといけないし、相手の口調もあまりに失礼で不愉快でした。
友人の息子さんが電話に出たときでももう少しマシな会話ができますよ。
こんなホテルは初めてで驚きました。

晩秋の色合いの景色を眺めながら、露天風呂を楽しみました。お風呂が一晩中使えるので、時間を気にしないで楽しみました。忘れ物に親切に対応をしてもらいました。浴衣の上着に使用済みの爪楊枝が入っていて、少しがっかりとしました。

This is a kind of place where I visited when I was small kid and gives me a lots of memories of relaxation. Very simple place where you can sleep and eat. Dinner is good for person grew up in Japan but not considering at all for visiter from outside.
Break first as well no choice but you have to take it.
This place is used for school trip often so they give you special price during that time.
Food is good for price and additional price for drink is cheap.
But let me tell you, this onsen is soo good if you want to enjoy onsen and place to sleep, this is it. Sulfur smell and monkey well comes you in a quiet.
Stuff here is very very friendly and talk to you while you are eating not like other fancy place with give you alone attitude.!
Oh the bending machine will gives you all your need during your stay. And also there is a public transportation available as well.

昔ながらの温泉ホテルです。とてもシンプルな宿で修学旅行に使われています。温泉は間違いなく本物でとても癒される事間違い無いです。食べ物は大人には満足ですが小学生にはちょっと早すぎた様です。5歳児用に食べ物を用意して頂きましたがそれは好評で完食でした。私は数々の値段の高いホテルに行きましたがここぞシンプルなステイを安価で提供する敷居の低い宿です。
冬場はチェーンなど必要かと思います。

Hotel has a great location close to local activities and sights. The hotel is reasonably old with old style non-Japanese very large rooms. The hotel has both indoor and outdoor hot pools. It was pretty neat after you leave the hot pool late in the afternoon in your dressing gown, we then proceeded to dinner in our dressing gowns. And at least 90 percent of the guests in the hotel restaurant were dressed the same way. The food and beer was good. The hotel has numerous vending machines where all sorts of drinks, snacks, noodles and ice creams are available.
