The View Ella

vi kan ikke anbefale dette hotel. Udsigten er fantastisk, men det er også det eneste positive! Værelset var slidt og badeværelset var beskidt. Vi fik besøg af “bed bugs”, hvilket betød at vi checkede ud før tid og fandt et andet bedre hotel. Desuden ligger der en lugtende losseplads tæt hotellet.

The view was great, as expected. The staff were helpful. But there was no TV in the room. There was not even a chair in the room. The AC was erratic. The hotel doesn't offer alcohol or real coffee. All in all I thought it was over-priced for what was on offer.

Vacker utsikt! Stort rum.
Dock bestod ytterväggen enbart utan glas vilket skapade en extrem lyhördhet och ingen känsla av "privat". Glasväggen drog kraftig ner betyget.
Tåget går strax nedanför hotellet vilket kan verka störande.
Restaurangen på hotellet serverade enbart en bråkdel av vad som fanns på menyn.
Närheten till centrum (Ella) är bra, dock är närmast promenadvägen via järnvägen vilket kan verka obehagligt för vissa.

Slitet avlägset och svårt att hitta.
Rummet blir väldigt kallt på natten och man får lägga en filt över lakanet man får.
Man måste be om daglig städning.
Inget hotell jag skulle vilja bo på igen

Enkelt hotell i behov av en upprustning. Lite slitet och nedgånget. Dessvärre heller inte riktigt rent. Sänghimlen sunkig med mycket döda insekter ovanpå, smutsigt badrum och sovrum, ingen ac (endast fläkt) och vårt rum var mycket litet. Dock- hotellet ligger mycket bra! Ett stort plus för mycket vacker utsikt från hotellet, en vackert belägen pool och, vi genväg, endast en kort promenad direkt till huvudgatan i centrum!

Anfangs denkt man, oh je ist das kompliziert zum Hotel zu kommen. Aber es lohnt sich, denn der Blick ist super. Man kann auch in 10 Minuten zu Fuss zur Main Street laufen, wo es mit dem Chill ein richtig cooles Restaurant/Bar gibt. Schöne Terasse mit Pool, Zimmer ok, Service sehr nett. War eine erholsame Pause nach Colombo und Kandy. Zugfahrt Kandy-Ella lohnt sich auch.

The view from The View is nice but rooms are worn down and shabby.

Super nice view of Ella Rock and Little Adam's Peak 😁 the room is clean and quite large, also the bathroom. I recommend the hoppers for breakfast 😁

Amazing location (what a view)about 5 minutes walk from town centre. Food was brilliant and pool a lovely bonus at the end of the day!

The location is excellent and very close to the city center. No room service at all so have to ask for new towels etc.

The room standard was not that good, but a really nice staff and a wonderful view it was a stay worth.

The staff here are amazing. Our room was lovely and very large. There were a few hiccups at breakfast where it took a while to be served with coffee, etc., and the tables for the restaurant are directly outside people’s rooms so you feel a little on top of each other.

Overall, though, it’s a good place to stay above Ella with fabulous views and a nice laid-back feel. Would recommend.

We were just staying ond night and left early, 5am for the train to nono-oye. Breakfast pack provided, generally good but the road to the hotel wars quiet steep.

This is a lovely hotel situated on the side of a hill overlooking the Ella Gap and Adam's Peak. The manager and staff are very friendly, and the pool is amazing. Great value for money. Only negative is it is difficult to find, you need to take a tuk-tuk or taxi when you first arrive. After check in its a relatively easy 10 mins walk into town along the railway track

Like most hotels in Ella the hotel is up a steep hill. We only stayed one night here. We'd recommend 2 nights in Ella and at this quaint hotel. Nice pool and great views. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Excellent view special in the morning. But this hotel is an old renewed house. Not organized properly. I booked this hotel to a discounted price, but at the end they charged full amount without any discount. It was more than 11000LKR. Definitely worthless..

This place has a great view, lovely little and friendly staff, but this is were it ends. The rooms are scruffy, towels threadbare, morning noise negates sleeping past 6.15. Facilities listed on wotif by the property don't match what is on offer, and you will be lucky if you get the room booked and paid for.

Bit of a climb up driveway and stairs, to very welcome pool and great views.
Issue with power outage when we arrived... all in darkness, we were told if would be 30 minutes, however when we advised that it was dangerous and asked for candles, they turned on the generator!!

Accès de l'hôtel très difficile, petite chambre et sans prestation. Piscine agréable et très belle vue.
