Friendly staff, unsafe room
Pros:

How it was close to the free tram line and the staff were very friendly and gave us a free upgrade with 2 queen size beds and early check in time after arriving.

Cons:

On what was supposed to be a free upgrade turns out to be a massive downgrade with one of the beds being completely broken with the wood frame snapped and the wheel missing on day one, the toilet roll holder was broken, there was a lot of food that was slipped under the bed and chair when we arrived, key card slot cover was broken, the shower smelt of gas that almost got me sick, some of the lights didnt work and the ac didn't work.
The major issue was the bed that was reported to but nothing happened which means I had to sleep on the floor or risk an injury.
The staff were willing to refund me the whole stay but unfortunately was told that i would only get back 20% which to them was $62
That much is actually 5% of the whole stay compare on how much i spent to stay there and when I spoke that we were offered a full refund I was told they will contact me later about it. My guess and it may not be true is that they will slip it under the rug and forget about it.

Pros:

I chose Vibe Hotel Melbourne Docklands for a special occasion and was looking forward to a memorable stay. The waterfront location is lovely, with easy access to Victoria Harbour and Newquay Promenade, making it enjoyable to explore the area on foot.

I also appreciated the option of luggage storage, as my flight arrived early in the morning. Overall, the location was a highlight.

Cons:

One small letdown was that some basic toiletries were missing from the room. I would have appreciated having these essentials provided for a more comfortable and convenient stay.

the room and the bed was great the location was good we had direct access to the trams being right outside the hotel
