The location was great, access to public transport right outside. The staff were very pleasant and the food very good.

Lovely location. Accomodation was clean and comfortable and the staff and owners where lovely.

It’s in a quiet village but has regular early and late busses to thame or oxford city centre

A lovely old pub with lots of atmosphere. Nice bar area, dining area and extensive garden where you can also have your meal if you want to. Our evening meal was very good. We can recommend the fish and chips and the pork tomahawk! Breakfast was also excellent. Very good location for us, close to the motorway but not so close as to hear the motorway traffic. It is on a main road and so there was some road noise but we were not disturbed by this. Excellent free parking on site. Very dog-friendly. Our room was in a separate block which houses a number of rooms. This meant that we were not disturbed by other guests.

It was perfected located for visiting the surrounding area. The hotel room were in a separate building just a short walk from the pub which served excellent food

The rooms were in a separate building next to the main pub. My room was a good size and had an en-suite bathroom with a walk in shower. The bed was very comfy and despite being set on a busy road, traffic noise wasn’t a problem. I ordered a meal which was brought to my room. The food was very well cooked and tasty. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast the following morning was also of a high standard. I’d stay here again.

Exactly what it says on the tin. Comfortable country pub, rooms spotless, food good & real ale on hand pumps. Easy access from M40, plenty parking. Staff were great, very friendly. Owners threw in a “large” breakfast in the morning-excellent. Good value.
It is on the main road but even with windows open traffic noise was not an issue until a police car went past with full blues & twos at 5am. Bad luck I guess.
Perfect for a visit to Oxford with the bus service outside right into central Oxford
