Parawa House

The breakfast was plentiful. We had Sri Lankan breakfast the first monring with fruits and pancakes. The second morning we asked to skip the dahl but they forgot the eggs.

Self and wife stayed for two nights. Deluxe Double Room with access to adjoining private lobby was very comfortable. The staff; Samitha, Rumeshika, Lahiru, Madusanka and Niroshan, all were welcoming, cheerful and very helpful. We had three breakfasts. Though limited items were served in the breakfast, the qty was sufficient. It was delicious. We also liked the fresh fruit and fresh mixed fruit juice. Excellent location in the center of Galle Fort, next to Pedlar Street.

The location was amazing, the breakfast was also amazing. The staff was very helpful and kind. There was power outage and they brought me candles. There was good water pressure and everything was clean.

What an elegant place at perfect location. Beautifully situated in an old colonial building, very tastefully decorated and great staff. It’s perfectly located in the center of Galle Fort. You step out of the door and all restaurants and shops are just around the corner. The breakfast fast fantastic!

Everything. The House is soo lovely. The Little courtyard very calming. The team was really nice with us. The girls loved the bedroom. Mezzanine style with kids bed up. Such a nice spot. Breakfast was great - available on the ground floor - home made

Great location and comfortable room.

Location, breakfasts, friendly staff. I believe I was the only guest for three days. Sri Lanka, like most tropical Asian countries, is the best post dawn,, around 6.30am. Sitting in the quiet and cool with a cup of tea and watching the crows and squirrels going about their morning business is a delight.

Breakfast was phenomenal, the staff were lovely and so helpful, rooms were adequately clean and location was centralised and easy to get around

Parawa house is in a great location inside Galle Fort and close to all the main attractions. We loved the conversoin of the old colonial style merchants house into a hotel and the breakfasts were excellent.

Located in the old town and quiet area

Parawa House was a lovely, somewhat modest hotel. Overall, Galle hotels seemed quite expensive so Parawa delivered for us in terms of cost and location (we really wanted to stay in the Fort). The owners seem to have a few properties so we ended up staying at another property around the corner (which was a bit of an upgrade as it had a little balcony with a view to the ramparts). We stayed 2 nights and the breakfasts both mornings were delicious - one day Western and the other day Sri Lankan. The staff were super lovely and helpful.

Peaceful despite being right in the centre of Galle Fort. Generous breakfast, lovely courtyard setting, welcoming and helpful staff. Comfortable bed, much needed fan and strong air-conditioning!
