Good food, good company and overnight rest in a location that was beyond idyllic and tranquil.
Pros:

It’s location. Being in a small village it was very quiet to allow a good night’s sleep.
It’s character, particularly the references to the six wives of Henry VIII.
The bedroom and bathroom were well supplied with everything we needed for our stay.

Pros:

Very friendly staff and they served us food even though the kitchen was already closed.
The room was lovely with a very large bathroom room.

It is a lovely town.

Cons:

One of the rooms had no light at all. Having to take a big step into the bathroom in the dark was very dangerous. The Wi-Fi did not work. The staff was rude — they mistook me for another guest who had not checked out, and called me on the phone in an extremely rude manner. When they realized their mistake, they didn't even apologize. I've never experienced anything like this before.

Loverly village pub, atmospheric and helpful staff

Cons:

Our dinner reservations was not fulfilled. On arrival we were told that the kitchen was closed due to the extreme heat. Quite understandable and correct thing to do for the safety of their staff. But we should have been informed by phone or message before our arrival; we could have made other arrangements whilst on route.

Beautiful area
The bed was comfy:)

Cons:

It needs some tlc , the shower door is broken , the plug had come apart the blinds /windows need cleaning , one lamp didn't work , the head board was really lose

Lovely traditional coaching inn.
The bathroom had an actual BATH in it. Not 5star but it's an old building not trying to be something it's not. 10 out of 10.

Struttura molto carina!

La struttura era esteticamente bellissima. Le camere erano ampie e pulite. La zona era silenziosa. Abbiamo approfittato anche della cena: abbiamo mangiato benissimo.

Cons:

Alla mattina dovevamo partire presto e non c'era nessun contenitore o spazio in cui poter lasciare le chiavi delle camere. Abbiamo telefonato per chiedere dove lasciare le chiavi ma nessuno ha risposto. Alla fine abbiamo bussato per la seconda volta sulla porta chiusa del pub e ci hanno aperto.
