Pros:

Friendly staff. There was one lady running around when we arrived looking after the front desk and bar area.
She was very welcoming.
Had breakfast which was delicious.
Comfortable beds.

Cons:

The room we were in was very run down.
Cracks and Stains on the walls, the bathroom was very out dated. The shower attachment was not adjustable, the taps in the sink were loose, the hot tap wouldn't turn off properly.
There was scaffolding surrounding the part of the building we were in.
The bar offered very little in lagers and beers.

Schönes Haus, zum Übernachten allerdings nicht zu empfehlen
Pros:

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Die Bar hat einen netten Biergarten. Das Haus an sich ist etwas Besonderes.

Cons:

Das alte Haus könnte sehr schön sein, ist aber in keinem guten Zustand. Innen riecht es eigenartig und von außen wären einige Arbeiten nötig. Das ganze Haus ist hellhörig, man hört jeden einzelnen Schritt der anderen Gäste und auch jede Tür, die geöffnet oder geschlossen wird. Das Zimmer war sehr einfach eingerichtet, der Fernseher hatte die Größe eines Tablets. Das Fenster im Bad ließ sich nicht öffnen. Natürlich keine Klimaanlage oder Ventilator, also muss man die Fenster öffnen. Dadurch kommt man in den Genuss der Möwenschreie, die am frühen Morgen schon anfangen. Ohne Schlaftablette ist an Schlaf leider nicht zu denken. Das Frühstück war sehr einfach: Eier und Brot kommen aus der Küche, Saft und Müsli kann man sich holen. Jeder Tisch wird einzeln bedient, zu der Stoßzeit um 8 Uhr morgens kann es damit chaotisch werden. Eier werden immerhin frisch zubereitet.

Overpriced for what it is now, but with a refurb would definitely return.
Pros:

Charecter property, well located with good private parking. Best of all are the lovely staff and good range of beers.

Cons:

unfortunately is in dire need of new fixtures and fittings. Showers awful, water temperature difficult to maintain if the shower works at all. Cooked breakfast nice but very poor selection for self service, no fruits!

Lovely manager who was very attentive and helpful. Comfortable rooms. Excellent location
In charming town. Friendly locals! Delicious welsh lamb rump for dinner. Great stop on the way through Wales.

Would not recommend/ very expensive for what you get.
Pros:

Good location to use as a base to explore mid wales.

Cons:

It was old and tired and not cleaned - our room had cobwebs in the bedroom and bathroom. The carpet was very worn and the bathroom needed re grouting and the bath tap leaked.

Wouldn’t stay again.
Pros:

Location for my needs was fine, and parking was ok

Cons:

Bar and restaurant lack any atmosphere, furniture and fittings are ancient, floors slope so much I had to walk uphill to my bathroom. Bed was hard. Choice of breakfast was poor. I didn’t eat at the hotel, chose to eat elsewhere. Water dripped from my bedroom ceiling on to me in bed. Toilet didn’t work in the first room they gave me. The shower was rubbish.

Shabby buolding, nice helpful staff.
Pros:

Comfortable bed, clean linen, clean bedroom, good breakfast, pleasant staff.

Cons:

The fabric of the building is in a poor state and needs a lot of work with rotting windows, a crumbling parapet, very worn carpets and a lot of poor temporary repair work evident. Pverall, the property looks very shabby in places.

Great for a1 night stay
Pros:

A nice friendly place. The beds were comfy, the staff welcoming and the food was delicious.

Cons:

I thought the price was expensive considering the decor as it needed a touch of freshening up. The room was a bit warm but understandable in the middle of a heatwave - a fan would have been nice.
